PERA offers a four-year Dance Bachelor Program that prepares dancers for the diversity of the contemporary dance world. The BA in Dance program at PERA aims to provide students with a learning environment that focuses on the technical fundamentals of contemporary dance whilst stimulating the individuality and growth of each student as an independent, versatile and creative artist. The core of the

program is composed of fundamental approaches to movement (Body Conditioning, Yoga, Pilates), dance technique (Contemporary and Ballet), creative subjects (Improvisation and Composition), theoretical courses (Musical Analysis, Dance History, Anatomy, Interdisciplinary Practices, Critical Studies, English for Performing Arts), individual research projects, as well as a three week intensive dance workshop known as PERA ID and annual performances that take place twice a year. The curriculum is versatile and integrated, visualizing dance within the broader context of the performing arts. Thus the program also encompasses current industry related practices, including Physical Theater, Site Specific Modes, Music and Media Arts, with the aim of offering students access to a wider range of knowledge, specialisation and artistic possibilities. PERA further deepens its program of study through professional practice, offering internship possibilities and targeting successful career placements in the field of contemporary dance and creative industries. Besides the four year Bachelor Degree, the school also offers an intensive performance training program entitled PERA short. PERA short lays the groundwork for further in-depth professional training experience in contemporary dance practice. This one-semester or one-year full-time intensive is suitable for dance practitioners who wish to foster their technical expertise, creative skills and performativity to build on their individual and artistic development through rigorous training.

The body still has its senses here. Light catches wrong on silver. Paper holds the shape of order, thin enough to tear at a breath. Something sharp rises in the air before you can name it.

We’re already inside it.

A multidisciplinary curated experience, hosting choreographic work, selected short films, and a conceptual food experience in collaboration with ARTERIE: House of Sensory Experiences. A celebration of 10 years of PERA, expressed through dance, film, sculpture, and immersive experience.

In creating a space for artistic dialogue and exchange, our students have had the privilege of working alongside invited artists; Anton Lachky, Helder Seabra, Brandon Lagaert & Sara Angelucci (Kaiho Company), Paola Madrid and PERA’s founder and director, local artist Sevim Yeşilada.
