A myth we often hear is that there is no space for literacy in a Montessori classroom. That couldn’t be further from the truth.

As Montessori guides, our role is to observe. We watch for those tiny sparks of interest and readiness that tell us it’s time to introduce the next step.

When a child’s ear is ready, we play with sounds. When their “hand” is ready, we start writing…

Every child is unique. The readiness of the child is the only guide we need. ☺️

During sensitive periods, children feel an inner drive to repeat certain movements until they master them. That repetition is how coordination, confidence, and independence grow.

In Montessori, we observe these moments closely and support what the child is naturally drawn to learning.

A child preparing a flower for a vase—quickly turned into an organic botany lesson. As he cut the stems, his curiosity led us to explore and name the parts of the flower, one by one. This is the beauty of true Montessori learning; following the interest of the child! 🤍

On International Peace Day , Bambini Montessori Nursery invited Montessori schools from across the division line in Cyprus to gather at the Home for Cooperation in the buffer zone. Together, we lit a candle for peace and for hope.✨

As Montessori reminds us” establishing peace is the work of education”. Peace education is rooted in the moral and spiritual development of the child, nurturing empathy, justice, and hope for a harmonious society.
