I have had to say goodbye to all my amazing tutees this week as I prepare for my move back to the UK in a couple of weeks 😢 🇨🇾 ➡️🇬🇧

I have been SO lucky to have worked with the most amazing children and parents and I have absolutely loved my afternoons tutoring. I really hope I’ve instilled a love of learning in all children I’ve taught, something that I always strive to achieve.

Thank you to everyone for the well wishes, cards and presents 🥰 keep in touch ❤️

Autumn 1 has been a very busy term at Achieve with Jane 🎃 🍂!

As always, sessions are matched to your children’s individual next steps and I always strive to make sessions engaging and fun. Seeing the children having fun whilst learning and making progress is what it is all about 💫🥰!

I hope everyone has a fantastic half term and I will see you all in November for my last month tutoring before my move back to the UK 🇬🇧 😢!

It’s been a while since I’ve posted so I thought today I’d try and take a few photographs to capture a day at Achieve with Jane 🌟

Every day is so different and today I’ve had children doing reading tasks, exploring new vocabulary, spelling work, writing tasks, fractions, division, learning times table and solving mathematical problems 📚.

As always, sessions are tailored to each child’s next steps and it is always so rewarding to see the progress these fantastic children make!

We’ve had such a fun end to Autumn 1 by having Halloween themed sessions. I hope the children enjoyed as much as I did! Sessions are always planned to suit each child’s individual learning needs.

Some of the things we’ve been up …
⭐️ Reading instructions and carefully following them to make some spooky potions.
🎃 Making their own potions and writing instructions.
🕷️ Spider scurry game which involved recognising sounds in words and blending sounds to read the word. I also adapted this game to comparing fractions for one child.
👻 Witch and pumpkin spelling games
🧙‍♀️ Solving Halloween maths problems
⭐️Times table games

The classroom has had a Halloween glow up 🎃👻..
The children and I had so much fun with Halloween sessions last year, I’ve decided to do 2 weeks of Halloween themed activities before the half term! I can’t wait to share some of the learning in action with you!

The water beads have come back out this week. The children love the sensory experience of playing with them whilst doing their learning.

They’re great for all sorts of learning including hiding letters and pictures in for spelling games and also hiding place value counters in to represent numbers. My little boy even got in on the action and enjoyed finding numbers to 5 and ordering them
