4th INTERNATIONAL SYMPOSIUM OF ORTHODONTICS IN ALBANIA
Dates: October 1–3, 2026

Organized by the Albanian Orthodontic Association, this year’s Symposium will be particularly special as we celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Association — an important milestone and an opportunity to bring together colleagues and friends from Albania and abroad for three days dedicated to science, clinical excellence, professional exchange, and collaboration.

The Symposium will open on October 1 with the Pre-Congress Course:

🔹 Pre-Congress Course: Skeletal Anchorage in Orthodontics – Hands-On

An intensive, clinically oriented theoretical and practical course on skeletal anchorage and the clinical application of orthodontic miniscrews, led by Dr. Guglielmo Biondi. Participants will also have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience on 3D models.

⚠️ Places for the Pre-Congress Course are limited. Early registration is strongly recommended to secure your participation.

The scientific program will continue on October 2–3, bringing together distinguished international and Albanian speakers and focusing on two major areas of contemporary orthodontics:

Day 1 – Biomechanics in Orthodontics
Day 2 – Orthodontic Treatment with Clear Aligners

The program will feature expert lectures, clinical experiences, oral presentations, and scientific poster presentations, creating an opportunity to exchange knowledge, explore new perspectives, and discuss current approaches in modern orthodontic practice.

An exhibition area will also be available throughout the Symposium, where participants can discover the latest orthodontic materials, technologies, and equipment.

It is a great pleasure and a sincere privilege to extend to you an invitation to the 10th Congress of the Balkan Association of Orthodontic Specialists (B.A.O.S.) and the 29th Congress of the Greek Orthodontic Society (G.O.S.) and the Orthodontic Society of Northern Greece (O.S.N.G.), which will be held at the “Eugenides Foundation” in Athens, on November 28-29.

In complete accordance with our founding objectives to promote orthodontics and support our colleagues from Greece and the Balkan countries, the Organizing Committee of the Congress aims to organize a luminous event, bringing together internationally accredited Speakers from Greece and abroad, to enable the presentation of clinical and research innovation in the field of Orthodontics, to reinforce the professional and social interaction between the colleagues as well as to provide a unique opportunity to explore the picturesque city of Athens and its numerous wonderful sights.

During the 8th BAOS Congress in Limassol, Cyprus, the BAOS Council meeting and General Assembly took place. Several subjects were discussed and quite interesting suggestions were proposed foe the more efficient promotion of our Society’s aims and principles. The Council was represented by Assoc. Prof. Celjiana Toti (Albania), Dr. Victoria Gurgurieva (Bulgaria), Dr. Abraham Kyriakides (Cyprus), Prof. Mike Papadopoulos (Greece), Dr. Gabriela Curcieva-Cuckova (North Macedonia), Dr. Christian Romanec (Romania), Prof. Predrag Janosevic (Serbia) and Dr. Mustafa Ozcan (Turkey).
Moreover, elections for the New Executive Committee formation for year 2025 were held, with the following changes:
a. Prof. Irina Zetu (Romania) as President
b. Dr. Stathis Efstathiou (Cyprus) as Past President
c. Dr. Vasilis Zymperdikas (Greece) as President Elect
d. Dr. Gabriela Curcieva-Cuckova (North Macedonia) as Vice President
e. Asst. Prof. Athina Chatzigianni (Greece) as Honorary Secretary-General and
f. Assoc. Prof. Eleftherios Kaklamanos (Greece) as Honorary Treasurer.
Finally, BAOS officially welcomes the “Society of Private Orthodontic Specialists” of Turkey as a new Affiliate Member Society.
The next BAOS Congress will be held in Brasov, Romania in 2025. Pertinent updates will soon be posted.
