🌊♻️ It is that time of the year where our students are taken to Caracasbaai Beach for a Cleanup Day!
As they help keep one of Curaçao’s beautiful beaches clean, we’re taking a look back at this from 1993. 📸
For decades, students have rolled up their sleeves, filled countless garbage bags, and worked together to care for our island. While the faces may have changed, the spirit of community, environmental responsibility, and island pride remains the same.
💙 Here's to continuing a tradition that has connected generations of students through service and stewardship.

Today, let's celebrate the unforgettable Class of 2002! 🎓✨
It was the year people watched the FIFA World Cup in excitement, Spider-Man became a blockbuster hit, and everyone was singing along to early 2000s music on CDs and MP3 players.
The euro officially became everyday currency in Europe, technology was growing rapidly, and the world was learning how connected it could really be.
Meanwhile, the Class of 2002 was creating memories of its own — school spirit, friendships, laughter in the hallways, and moments that still feel like yesterday. 📸💫
Here’s to the style, the memories, the music, and the bond that made the truly special.
Tag your classmates and share your favorite memory from those days! 👇🎉

We were honored to welcome ISC alumna as a special guest speaker during Advisory last week. Despite her busy schedule as an entrepreneur, Kesha took the time to inspire our students by sharing her journey and the importance of the IB Learner Profile in real life. 💙
Her message encouraged students to be risk-takers, reflective learners, and to see challenges as opportunities for growth.
Thank you, Kesha, for giving back to the ISC community and inspiring the next generation! ✨

Christopher Ferreira was recently invited by the Consulate General of the Netherlands in Miami to attend the King and Queen’s visit—an unforgettable experience where he had the honor of sharing his journey and representing his diverse background and current university. Also during the visit, Christopher had the opportunity to personally greet Mr. Roderick Middelhof, Minister of Economic Development of Curaçao.
Here is what he remembers about ISC:
"My journey with ISC has played a big role in shaping who I am today. Coming from Curaçao, being part of such a diverse community helped me grow both academically and personally. I started in 9th grade barely speaking English, but with support from my teachers, parents, and mentors like Mr. Polsbroek, I built confidence and strong communication skills. After graduating, I continued my studies at Flagler College in Florida, where I completed a double major in International Business and Hospitality & Tourism Management in just four years. Now, I’m pursuing my Master’s in Hospitality at Florida International University in Miami, focusing on leadership, operations, and global strategy."
Christofer is grateful for how far he has come, and we are proud of his accomplishments.

Back to the future! ⏳✨
This morning, we set up our time machine and traveled all the way back to May 1975. Here’s a special snapshot of our former students from when our school was located near what is now the Curaçao Tax Office.
Do you recognize yourself and your classmates? Tag in the photo! 📸👀

Jayen Viscaino — from a small island to the U.S. national stage 🌊
A proud alum of the International School of Curaçao, Jayen carries his roots with him as he continues his journey abroad.
Now studying at St. Thomas University, Jayen proves that talent knows no boundaries. Being from a place that isn’t always in the spotlight became his motivation: “Coming from Curaçao, I’ve always carried a deep sense of pride—I’m representing more than just myself. It pushed me to work harder and show that determination can come from anywhere.”
At the NAIA National Championships, he rose to the occasion—competing against some of the best swimmers in the U.S., earning a place in the A Final, and achieving All-American honors.
Selected for two relays alongside top teammates, the experience became even more meaningful: “It wasn’t just about results—it was about representing where I come from.”
His journey is bigger than the pool. “I want others back home to see that no dream is too big, no matter where you start.”
Thank you, Jayen, for representing Curaçao abroad and for your continuous pursuit of excellence—showing what truly means to be a global citizen.
