. Head off to enjoy a visit to the Hato Caves with their abundant stalagmites, stalactites and dripstone pools. The lighting casts interesting shadows such as the Pirate's Head, Sea Turtle and Jack and the Beanstalk. See if you can spot them. Your entertaining guide will narrate the fascinating history of the caves. Learn more about the native Indians, the Arawaks. You will see various cave carvings as well as petroglyphs estimated to be over 1,500 years old. See some of the numerous iguanas that were once the main food source of the Arawaks that now live peacefully around the caves. Enjoy a guided tour of the ostrich farm on an open-air vehicle where you will not only see adult birds but the nursery and the eggs themselves. See the ostriches up close and possibly even get to feed them. You will visit a local aloe vera plantation, CurAloe, including a guided tour, where you can also purchase gifts of the natural aloe vera plant. A stop at Serena's Chichi Factory allows you to view the work of local craftsmen who have made amazing souvenirs and sculptures available for purchase. "Chichi" means big sister in the local language and the entertaining sculptures of all sizes are all hand-painted and very unique. Each stop is approximately 30-45 minutes. At the conclusion of your Curacao Ostrich Farm and Hoto Caves Excursion, the transportation will take you back to your Willemstad Curacao cruise ship terminal.
