You will find sea urchins mostly in rocky coastal areas, so the chance of you stepping in them with your bare feet on one of the sandy beaches is almost nil. On Curaçao sea urchins are not poisonous, but they are annoying; the spines remain under your skin and cause irritation there. You can easily remove them yourself with tweezers.

You may wonder why some scuba divers dive at night. What’s so exciting about it ? Divers need lead to get underwater because (among other things) they are wearing a diving suit with positive buoyancy. To compensate for this, extra weight is needed, and lead is used for this purpose.
