As we reflect on the first two days of the 20th International Symposium on Organizational Sciences 2026, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to all participants, speakers, authors, reviewers, partners, and organizers who contributed to the success of this milestone edition.

📢The final day of focused on some of the most important topics shaping the future of organizations and society -artificial intelligence, trust, and future competencies.

Keynote speakers Prof. Vasco Amaral and Dr. Ulrich Harmes-Liedtke opened the day with inspiring discussions on the role of AI in software engineering and the importance of trust and quality infrastructure in building resilient organizations.

The panel discussion “AI that Delivers: Turning Disruption into Advantage” brought together leading experts from business, finance, research, and cybersecurity to explore how artificial intelligence can create value while reinforcing the importance of human expertise, experience, and critical thinking.

The roundtable “Competency-Based Education: The Voice of the Market” highlighted the need for stronger collaboration between academia and industry, emphasizing that competitiveness in the age of AI will depend not only on technical knowledge, but also on the ability to learn, collaborate, take initiative, and adapt to change.

With more than 300 participants from 22 countries, 138 scientific papers, and 25 distinguished speakers, the 20th anniversary edition of SymOrg once again reaffirmed its role as an international platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and dialogue on the issues shaping the future.

📢From Science to Innovation: Day Two of

The second day of the international SymOrg 2026 symposium was marked by thematic and poster sessions, Startup Presentations, the Students Startup Achievement session, and the Business Forum, “Resilient and Intelligent Organizations in Times of Permanent Disruption.”

The Forum was moderated by Prof. Dejan Petrović, PhD, and Prof. Slavica Cicvarić Kostić, PhD, and featured Ivana Todorović (Banca Intesa), Marko Cilić (Nelt Group), Darko Samardžija (AD IMLEK), Nikola Todorović (Milsped Group), and Dragan Gajić (Rivian).

The discussion focused on organizational resilience, artificial intelligence, the future of work, and collaboration between academia and industry.

The closing session focused on the future of education and ways in which universities and companies can work together to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving labor market.

Opens: Twentieth Edition of the Leading International Symposium on Organizational Sciences

The Faculty of Organizational Sciences, University of Belgrade, has officially opened the 20th International Symposium on Organizational Sciences 2026, one of the most prominent scientific gatherings in Southeast Europe.

For nearly four decades, SymOrg has served as a meeting point for leading researchers, university professors, experts, and industry representatives from around the world.

Over the coming days, participants will engage in scientific sessions, panel discussions, workshops, and professional forums dedicated to organizational sciences, management, information systems, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and sustainable development.

📢International Forum of Organizational Sciences

The International Forum of Organizational Sciences officially opened SymOrg 2026 at Kopaonik, bringing together leading universities and industry representatives from across the region under the theme:
“Unlocking Regional Potential Through Academia–Industry Collaboration.”

Through insightful discussions on artificial intelligence, future competencies, innovation, and the evolving needs of the labor market, participants emphasized the importance of stronger collaboration between academia and business in shaping sustainable growth and regional competitiveness.

Representatives from leading institutions and companies exchanged experiences, explored new opportunities for cooperation, and highlighted the role of organizational sciences in connecting knowledge, technology, and development.

The message of the Forum was clear: the region will not build its competitiveness on the resources it possesses, but on the knowledge it creates and the partnerships it succeeds in building.
