📸 SPIE, the international society for optics and photonics - IDL Photo Contest 2025: Francisco Gamboa - 'Light and Vibration'

Međunarodni dan svetlosti 2025 je vrlo uspešno i inspirativno obeležen u Valjevu 16. maja u saradnji sa Valjevskom gimnazijom, Matičnom bibliotekom Ljubomir Nenadović, i Narodnim muzejom.
U Valjevu i Brankovini se takođe proslavlja dan rođenja Desanke Maksimović koja je i rođena na dan svetlosti 16. maja.
U spoju poezije i nauke neformalna grupa ZVRK (Zeleni vitezovi reke Kolubare ) su organizovali jednodnevnu proslavu Međunarodnog dana svetlosti sa željom da se podsetimo na to koliko svetlost i reč oblikuju naš svet:

Na temu motiva svetlosti u srpskoj književnosti i stvaralaštvu Desanke Maksimović, kao i njegovom povezanosti sa prosvetiteljstvom i prirodom, održana je radionica sa učenicima i kolektivom profesora srpskog jezika i književnosti Valjevske gimnazije, u Muzeju zavičajnih pisaca u Valjevu. Nakon toga, program se pridružio svečanoj dodeli Nagrade "Desanka Maksimović" u Brankovini, nakon čega je ovogodišnji dobitnik zasadio drvo, sa željom da se ovaj čin pretvori u tradiciju. Učenici Valjevske gimnazije su potom učestvovali u radionici "Rađanje pesme", čiji je zadatak diskusija učenika na temu veštačke inteligencije u pesničkom i stvaralaštvu uopšte, pri čemu je pokušano napraviti razliku između Desankinih pesama i pesama generisanih od strane veštačke inteligencije. Po povratku iz Brankovine, u Valjevskoj gimnaziji učesnike je očekivala još jedna radionica - iz optičke fizike. Time je zaokružena priča o svetlosti, ali i o samoj pesnikinji, velikom humanisti i prirodnjaku.
