This April, Earth Day at Green School was marked by a burst of creativity, curiosity, and care for our planet. Our youngest students (Y1–Y4) explored habitats by drawing animals in their natural environments, celebrating the beauty of nature. Y5 connected sustainability and healthy living by creating colorful recipe books, inspired by composting, planting, and using recycled materials.
Y6 took action by building insect hotels from natural and reused materials, learning how small creatures support big ecosystems. Y7 stepped into the microscopic world with their “Art under the Microscope” posters, while Y8–Y9 designed powerful “Save the Planet” artwork to raise awareness and inspire change.
As a grand finale, students created a magical "Under the Sea" installation, an immersive artwork made entirely from recycled plastic bottles collected within the school, turning waste into a vibrant ocean world.

Spring has brought its magic to Green School, and our art classes bloomed with it!
Our young artists explored nature outdoors, drawing and painting the beauty around them, from blooming flowers to buzzing insects, each piece capturing the joy of new beginnings. With a little Easter egg-citement, students also transformed eggs into colorful mini masterpieces and created eco-friendly baskets using recycled materials. A season of creativity, laughter, and fresh beginnings, celebrated together!

Another eventful term is behind us, filled with hard work, enthusiasm, and so many memorable moments. Now it’s time for a short and well-deserved break before we step into a busy and exciting end-of-year period. The weeks ahead will bring final revision, assessments, and preparations for our summer term events. Therefore, we hope our students will take this time to relax, recharge, and return with fresh energy, ready to round off the year strong.

We had a wonderful time at the Belgrade Philharmonic’s “Little Stories About a Great Composer.” Narrators dressed as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Constanze guided our students through a magical concert filled with stories of love, stars, and faraway lands. Along the way, students learned about symphonies and serenades while enjoying beautiful pieces such as A Little Night Music, the overture from the comic opera Bastien und Bastienne, and Symphony No. 1.

Our students explored the beauty of Ada Lake right on our doorstep, where they stepped into the role of young scientists, collecting water samples and testing pH levels, then comparing their findings with tap water. Throughout the week, the learning continued with exciting activities like building water cycle models and designing their own water filtration systems. We were also thrilled to welcome inspiring guest speakers, an ecologist and a hydro engineers, who shared their knowledge and passion through engaging presentations. A week full of discovery, teamwork, and appreciation for one of our planet’s most precious resources!
