The University “Economic Academy” Brčko District of Bosnia and Herzegovina was founded in Brčko in 2020.
The University develops contemporary higher education by connecting academic knowledge, professional competencies, practical training, scientific research and international academic cooperation.
Its academic structure consists of five faculties, covering health and biomedical sciences, technical sciences, law, economics, business and management, as well as pedagogical sciences and arts.
The University provides an academic environment for the development of education and scientific research through three cycles of study, in accordance with the applicable study programmes, regulations and institutional authorisations.

A particularly important place within the University belongs to the Faculty of Health and Biomedical Sciences.
The Faculty is focused on educating future professionals in contemporary healthcare, biomedical, laboratory, rehabilitation, preventive, pharmaceutical and related scientific fields.
Modern healthcare requires much more than theoretical knowledge. It requires professionals capable of understanding the human body, healthcare systems, diagnostics, prevention, rehabilitation, laboratory processes, pharmaceutical sciences, modern technologies and scientific research.
For this reason, education is directed towards connecting academic knowledge, professional competencies, practical skills and scientific methodology.
🎓 THREE CYCLES OF STUDY — ONE ACADEMIC PATH
🔵 FIRST CYCLE — UNDERGRADUATE STUDIES
Students acquire fundamental academic, professional and practical knowledge in their chosen field, in accordance with the relevant study programme and prescribed ECTS structure.
The first cycle provides the foundation for professional development and further academic education.
🟡 SECOND CYCLE — MASTER’S STUDIES
Master’s studies represent a higher level of academic development, with an emphasis on advanced professional knowledge, analytical thinking, specialised competencies, scientific methodology and research.
🔴 THIRD CYCLE — DOCTORAL STUDIES
Doctoral studies represent the highest academic level and are focused on independent scientific research, research methodology, development of new knowledge and contribution to the advancement of health and biomedical sciences.

The University develops the international dimension of education, scientific research and academic communication.
The Serbian/BHS and English languages have an important role in regional and international academic communication, scientific publications, conferences, research and cooperation with international academic partners.
For every international candidate, the language and mode of instruction, practical requirements and other conditions should be confirmed for the specific study programme before enrolment.
This is especially important in health and biomedical programmes, where laboratory, practical and clinical components may require specific forms of attendance.
