The environment is organized into learning centers that support
children’s growth and learning in all subject areas such
as literacy, math, science, art and music. The academy is
equipped with educational materials from the United States. Children have breakfast at 9 am, a morning snack and an
afternoon snack. Lunch is catered by one of the top catering
companies in Belgrade, and the menu is based on the recommendations
of a certified nutritionist. Children are encouraged
to take a rest after lunch when they have the option to
sleep/rest/read or play quiet games. Circle Time activities (most important part of the day
in terms of structural academic and thematic units of
learning) takes place after breakfast. Additional teacherdirected
activities that promote the development of fine-motor
skills, creativity, and academic learning, take place
throughout the day. Literacy learning and development is
highly encouraged as it is an integral part of our daily activities. Children learn how to read and write naturally and
effortlessly through our carefully planned literature-based
curriculum. In addition, children have ample opportunities
for self-guided play during which teachers build on children's
interests in order to facilitate meaningful and contextual
learning. Special classes such as sports, gymnastics, dance, yoga for
children, drama, arts & music, are offered after morning snack
or after nap/quiet resting time throughout each week. Outdoor play and gardening activities are offered based
on seasonal changes and weather conditions.
