The ALF project is pleased to announce the publication of new video lessons developed by its partner institutions, the University of Genoa and the University of Surrey.
The University of Genoa contributes a series of lectures under Task 4.8 – The Language of Law, addressing key questions in legal realism, interpretation, normativity, and epistemic reasoning in law.
These video lessons form part of the ALF project’s commitment to advancing foundational legal research and providing accessible, high-level academic resources.

👥💫 2025 ALF Partners Administrative Meeting
🖇️ As part of the 2025 ALF Belgrade Legal Philosphy Week, an administrative coordinators’ meeting was held during the fourth week of November, focusing on the completion of the project, future reports and outcomes of the ALF projects, and future cooperation among the ALF partner institutions involved.
📆 The meeting was attended by Professor Bojan Spaic and Miodrag Jovanović - project coordinators from the University of Belgrade; Pedro Moniz Lopes from the University of Lisbon; Andrej Kristan from the University of Genoa; Jules Rabanos - former postdoctoral researcher at the University of Belgrade and ALF academic member; and the ALF project’s administrative manager- Miona Mina Vukanic.

⚖️ ALF Student Conference Eudaimonia - Studentska konferencija iz teorije i filozofije prava: Social Justice and Law ⚖️
💫 2025 ALF Belgrade Legal Philosophy Week concluded with the Student Conference, hald on the November 28th at the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law. It was organised into two parallel workshops on social justice, constitutionalism, inequality, authority, exploitation, and technological change.
👥 More than 20 students from 8 European universities presented their work, showcasing the depth of student engagement with pressing social and legal issues and fortified the goals of the ALF Project.

ALF Junior Scholar Conference: Practically Oriented Legal Fundamentals
🖇️ ALF Junior Scholar Conference was held on November 28th 2025 within ALF Belgrade Legal Philosphy Week at the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law.
💫 It brought together early-career researchers from ALF partner universities and other scholarly institutions, focusing on practically oriented dimensions of legal theory.
👥 The sessions included presentations and contributions from Elena Marchese, Vladyslava Kaplina, Ana Zdravković, Juan Diego Dimat Gomez, Bruno Assalín, Sava Vojnović, and Mila Đorđević. Topics ranged from epistemic injustice and customary authority to absolute rights, international law, legal sociology, institutional theory, and structural injustice.

ALF Senior Scholar Conference x ALF BLPW 2025
🖇️ ALF Senior Scholar Conference was held on the 27th of November 2025 at the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law within 2025 ALF Belgrade Legal Philosphy Week. It convened three parallel workshops dealing with ALF fundamental topics of research: Logic and Law; Language and Law and Law and Practical Rationality.
👥 After presenting their contributions scholars such as Giovanni Battista Ratti, Pedro Moniz Lopes, Jorge Sampaio, Jules Rabanos, Andrej Kristan, Tiago Rodrigues Barboza, Paweł Banaś, Bojan Spaić, Kenneth Ehrenberg, Miodrag Jovanović, Armando Romero Muñoz, and Simon Palmer engaged in fruitful discussions and conceptual debates.

IVR Serbia x ALF BLPW 2025- Work in Progress Conference of the Serbian Association for Legal and Social Philosophy
🙌 The ALF Belgrade Legal Philosphy Week opened with the annual Work in Progress Conference of IVR Serbia, held at the ALF Center for Legal Fundamentals at the University of Belgrade Faculty of Law on the 25th November 2025.
💫 The conference featured a series of thematic sessions, each organized around a short presentation followed by dedicated commentary and open discussion.
👥 Participants included ALF academic and young scholars and other renowned members of Academia such as: Miodrag Jovanović, Jasminka Hasanbegović, Nikola Beljinac, Bojan Spaić & Sava Vojnović, Danilo Vuković & Mila Đorđević, Samir Forić, Valerija Dabetić, Ivana Spasić, Miloš Zdravković, Goran Dajović, Duška Franeta, and Violeta Beširević. The event concluded with the annual Assembly of IVR Serbia.

ALF Belgrade Legal Philosophy Week 2025
🖇️ Belgrade Legal Philosophy Week 2025, organized within the ALF (Advancing Cooperation on the Foundations of Law) Horizon project was held during the fourth week of November (25-28 2025).
💫 As every year, it brought together senior scholars, early-career researchers, and students in a rich, multi-day program dedicated to contemporary issues in legal philosophy and theory. Hosted by the ALF leading institution- Pravni fakultet Univerziteta u Beogradu, the week combined several complementary events: the IVR Serbia Work in Progress Conference, the ALF Senior Scholar Conference, the ALF Junior Scholar Conference, and the ALF Student Conference.
👥 Participants from eight countries took part during the ALF Belgrade Legal Philosophy Week including Italy, Portugal, UK, Poland, Spain, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia. More than 20 scholars and 25 students from 10 universities presented their work during these events including, among other renowned institutions, ALF partners- University of Lisbon, University of Genoa and University of Surrey.
