CHARLA 1: Publicación de paquetes en CRAN

HORARIO: Lunes 24 de junio de 4pm a 6pm
LUGAR: Auditorio de Ciencias Económicas
OBJETIVOS: Charla dirigida a estudiantes con un nivel intermedio-avanzado de R, que quieran conocer más acerca del CRAN (https://cran.r-project.org/). La dinámica es más de charla informal, en donde la comunidad estudiantil puede traer preguntas acerca de qué se necesita para que un paquete de R esté disponible en la comunidad, quién publica ahí, y cómo es el procedimiento.

Following the great success of the 1st Conference on Statistics and Data Science (http://www.csds.ime.ufba.br/), it is with great pleasure that we announce the organization of the 2nd Conference on Statistics and Data Science. This meeting will be held in Salvador, Brazil, from November 18-20, 2019. More details can be found here: http://www.csds2019.ime.ufba.br.

Important dates:
Submission of proposals for Invited Paper Sessions, Short Courses and Round Tables: September 15, 2018;
Submission of abstracts for Contributed Talks and Contributed Posters: September 15, 2018;
Payment of reduced registration fee: October 15, 2018

The purpose of the CSDS 2019 is to bring together researchers and practitioners, from the academy and from the industry, that develop and apply statistical and computational methods for data science. This conference will provide a forum to share and discuss ways to improve the access to knowledge, and promote interdisciplinary collaborations. The scientific program will be very appealing for most statisticians and data scientists interested in quantitative methods for decision making and will include plenary talks, invited sessions, short courses, round tables, contributed papers and contributed posters.

Young researchers (up to 5 years after their last academic degree) attending the 2nd Conference in Statistics and Data Science will have the possibility to compete for the “Best Paper Award on Statistics and Data Science” and for the “Best Poster Award on Statistics and Data Science”.
