The first year of Hope For the Holidays - 2017.
Why or how it started- I am not sure. A feeling of being so blessed it was pouring out of us and we wanted to share- so we did and have done so every year since.

6th Grade Graduation
From her very first day of school—running in with that tiny backpack, desperate to have “real” homework like her big sister—to quickly realizing that homework was, in fact… the worst, her school journey has been unforgettable.
She wanted to read and write instantly, skipping the whole “learning takes time” part. Her impatience mixed with her determination made for some pretty… interesting years.
But year after year, she found her rhythm.
She found her best friends.
She found her confidence.
She found herself.
And that smile—bright enough to melt anyone’s soul—blended with that look that could kill…had carried her through every grade, every challenge, every step.
Today she graduates 6th grade, ready for the next big chapter.
Independent. Strong. Growing into everything she’s meant to be.
Here’s to her journey… and to everything still ahead.
You are one of my very best chapters. You are the air I breathe. You are the heart in my chest.
I love you, my Nana-bear.
Congratulations!

Your first day of Kinder feels like it was just yesterday. You were so eager, so full of wonder that you could barely stand still. The moment we arrived, you sprinted toward the line of children, looking back only long enough to give me that bright little wave before running toward your new beginning.
I had no idea then how many beginnings we would face together.
From the day you were born my only instinct was to protect you. At six months old, I gathered every ounce of courage I had and ran with you to our new country, determined to give you a life free from fear, from harm, from the shadows of what we survived. For years, every step, every sacrifice, every fight was for one purpose — to keep us safe, to keep you safe.
And through every storm, you grew.
You explored parts of yourself with a bravery most adults never muster. You questioned, you transformed, you tried on identities in search of the one that fit your heart. You stood up against uncertainty, against loneliness, against the world’s opinions — until you found your voice, your truth, your people.
Now, at this stage of your life, you shine in a way that feels both brand new and deeply familiar. My kind, generous, artistic soul — a natural-born creator, a giver, a light. Anyone who knows you is better because of you.
And today, my Mimicita, on your graduation day, I look at you and feel something impossible to put into words: a pride so big it swallows the past and turns it into something beautiful.
You are one of my very best chapters — one I will cherish for the rest of my life.
I am so proud to be your mom. Always. Forever.
Congratulations my baby.
I love you.
