It was a treat to have this group of students studying with ICADS this summer for their GESI program experience! Last week, they finished up their practicums at .cr and .cr and presented their final projects 🪴

We’re excited to announce something new: an internship role on staff at ICADS for alumni! If you are passionate about pushing your Spanish to the next level, working with upcoming students in study abroad, getting a glimpse of the institutional and professional reality in this context, or furthering your knowledge of any ICADS areas of interest (sociological or ecological research, critical pedagogy, Spanish, etc.), consider applying for this exciting opportunity. Introducing the ICADS Staff Internship - ICADS ICADS alumni have the opportunity to apply for an internship position on staff

Some highlights from the Summer Health program! Each student completed an internship in the healthcare field, along with daily Spanish instruction, as well as activities and lectures which give perspectives on the healthcare panorama in Costa Rica. And of course, the mid-program retreat to the mountain valley of Providencia is always a high point for reflection and group bonding 🌱

Visual update from the Field Program’s first few days on the road! Their first stop was Coope San Juan in Alajuela Province, where they did some stream monitoring, vegetation measurement, community interviews, and even celebrated a birthday 🙌🏻

Congrats to this crew for finishing up Block 1 last week! Wishing each student continued learning, exploration, and reflection during the rest of the semester! 🪴
