We are blessed to announce our new initiative, GLP WITH REFUGEES, in partnership with the (The UN Refugee Agency) y , under our social responsibility course that celebrates inclusion. 🙌 👩‍🏫 🇨🇷

This ongoing program aligns with Sustainable Development Goals 8, 10, and 17, aiming to enhance the employment prospects and educational opportunities for refugees, asylum seekers, and stateless persons in Costa Rica. GLP with Refugees focuses on providing a free, online Basic English Language course lasting 3-4 months, starting this year, supported by dedicated volunteers.

We are seeking volunteers with fluent English and basic Spanish knowledge with backgrounds in education or related fields to help bridge the language gap for our beneficiaries. Volunteers will be involved in curriculum development, teaching, and lesson planning, requiring a commitment of 2-5 hours a week from October to December. Ideal candidates should possess cultural sensitivity, collaboration skills, adaptability, and patience. Volunteers will benefit from cultural and professional development workshops, gain international teaching experience, access to a free coaching app, and receive a participation certificate.
