In Waldorf education, form drawing is more than lines on paper—it’s a joyful journey! Children first explore with ropes, stones, and sand, bringing movement and rhythm into their bodies. Then, when they draw, they carry this experience into their hands, building focus, dexterity, and fine motor skills for writing.

Learning from our surroundings is a core method in Waldorf Education. In the first years of childhood, Education focuses on learning from imaginative stories and the contact with the natural world.

Soup and Bread - GWS Waldorf Inspired Soup and Bread go well together just about anytime of the year. I grew up in a very hot climate and for lunch we pretty much had soup daily.

Cornbread loved in the American culture and corn likewise is an ingredient used in many LatinAmerican dishes. This recipe goes well with the Potato soup shared before.

Cornbread or Pan de Choclo - GWS Waldorf Inspired Corn Bread or Pan de Choclo is a dish I make often in our household. It goes well with any meal but specially well next to a great soup.

As part of Cultures day tradition I like making something from a culture I have been immersed in. This year I made this delicious Ecuadorian soup which was a favorite growing up.

Potato Soup or Locro de Papa - GWS Waldorf Inspired Potato soup is a hearty and comforting soup from Ecuador made with simple ingredients and spices. The vegetarian recipe uses coconut milk.
