Mayumi is a transformational life coach who serves as a mentor, accompanying others on their path to embodying their limitless selves. Her passion lies in supporting others to be awakened and empowered creators of their lives. Mayumi is certified as a Yoga Teacher, Reiki Practitioner, Transformational Life Coach, and Tepezcohuite Plant Medicine Facilitator.
She is the devoted mother of two young

sweet and silly children, a passionate adventurer of inner transformation and outer world traveling, and a creative dancer in magic and self-expression. She lives by the beach on the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica, and frequently visits her family in Southern California. Activities that bring her joy include Argentine Tango dancing, singing sacred songs, and watching sunsets on the beach.

Snuggles with my daughter are a favorite way to recharge my feminine energy. She is so naturally full of laughter, sweetness, playfulness and joy. And her love is so adorably insistent.😅
Like this moment today...

I was sitting at my desk, working on finishing up my graphic fliers for my new program, Ignite your Feminine Magic, and she comes over to me and puts her head on my lap.

"I'm hungry" she says (her favorite phrase these days as she's hit a growth spurt). "Huuungry??? How could you POSSIBLY still be HUNGRY after eating your lunch, popsicle and a bonus piece of candy? Are you STILL growing???" I reply with a laugh. She giggles. I pull her on my lap and tickle her as she giggles harder. We snuggle and laugh for a few minutes, and I snap a quick selfie pic to capture the moment. And then go make her yet another snack.🍓

She brings me her child innocence and feminine essence of sweetness, softness, playfulness, and insistence that her needs are met. She has taught me so much about what the natural energy of the feminine is, before it is conditioned by society's expectations and demands. She's soft, yet fierce. Playful, and won't tolerate being treated unfairly. 😜

My journey these last few years has been to learn how to love and value my feminine energy, and relax and surrender into it in my motherhood, my marriage, and my life.

I've been learning about the natural feminine essence from studying modern masculine/feminine polarity and ancient ta**ra Shiva/Shakti energy. My marriage has been my real-time lab of experimenting with embodying my learnings.

As I've shared about my journey with close sisters, they've been fascinated and received so much from my sharing of my experiences that they could apply in their own lives and relationships. I've been honored to inspire them to find hope and work through issues in their relationship, from a new place and understanding of the underlying dynamics.

Now I'm making all of these juicy practices and insights available publicly, because it is truly my passion to share what has helped me in my own life with others, so they can have access to this life-changing information.

My journey to becoming a healer and coach took me through deep heartbreak and loss right after I thought I had achieved all of my dreams. Letting it all go and surrendering to Divine Love brought me to the teachers and mentors who helped me discover my authentic self. They supported me in remembering my soul mission of bringing the gift of healing through remembering who we truly are in our divine essence of love.

I am forever grateful to all of the teachers, mentors, coaches, lovers, friends, family, and soul tribe for supporting me in my journey. It takes a village to raise a child, and we are all children at heart, constantly in our evolutionary journey to becoming more of our authentic selves.

My mission is to pass on the healing love, wisdom, unconditional love, and unshakeable belief in my potential that I have (and still do) receive, and support you in connecting to your own innate ability to be a light of Truth and Love in the world. 💗

Do you dive deep into the messy, raw truth of your fears and pains? Or find yourself avoiding being with them and staying on the surface level of "I'm fine, everything's good, just keep going and keep it together"?

I've been in a deep inquiry with myself of what my "raw truth" is, underneath what I think I "should" feel, or what my spiritual soul knows is the "higher" truth. Throughout my life I've found it easier to go to my higher self and get the "big" perspective. What I've been discovering lately though, is that this robs me of the opportunity to first hear what my inner little girl, or hidden shadows, have to tell me, and to heal them through simply witnessing and loving them.

So I've been in the inquiry of really sitting in my raw truth of my heart FIRST, and receiving those messages, even when they are uncomfortable, painful, or sad.

Once I've fully received the raw, messy, ugly truth, THEN I can authentically arrive at my higher-self place of Union.

Tomorrow I'll be going Live on IG with my friend and amazing Akashic Channel, Beiker Petaquero. We're going to be sharing on the topic of "Honoring the Raw Truth."

I'm going to be getting vulnerable and messy on this IG, and sharing some raw truths that I've been unearthing about my own subconscious beliefs around my lovability, perfectionism, and "I've got it all together" mask.

Well, 2023, it’s a wrap! 🥂

It’s 11 pm on December 31st, 2023. Kids are asleep after we did an early NYE countdown together and celebrated with toasts of apple juice and a little maraschino cherry juice, with a cherry on top, of course.

I'm reflecting back on my year, and observing that 2023 was a foundation laying year. It was the year that I launched my soul-led, heart-filled business, and re-built my marriage and family, based on a new and stronger foundation.

I have noticed a pattern in myself of always looking forward and chasing the next inspiring thing, without pausing to really take in the journey I’ve been on and celebrate what I have achieved. So, I’m breaking that pattern by taking these last few moments of 2023 to soak in for myself the immensity of the journey that 2023 was for me. If you would like to, you’re welcome to celebrate with me! I also invite you to reflect on your own accomplishments and take a moment to celebrate yourself for what you achieved in 2023.

Business accomplishments I am celebrating:

- Hosting my first free online multi-day event, Activate Your Magical Essence, with over 300 participants registered.
- Leading my first online group women’s coaching program, Elevate Your Magical Essence, with 7 amazing women.
- Leading my followup group coaching program, Express Your Magical Essence, with 4 of the same women continuing on in it.
- Hosting my first retreat in Playa Hermosa, Costa Rica, with 4 participants and 3 facilitators.
- Publishing my first co-authored book, Dare to Express 2, with my autobiographical chapter of my journey of spiritual awakening; which reached the Amazon Best-Seller List.
- Guest Speaking at 5 online challenges.
- Coaching 1:1 clients February through September, and witnessing their expansion and deepening into their authentic nature.
- Completing my own Usui Holy Fire III Reiki Master training in March, and then training my clients in Level 1 and 2 during the Elevate program, and a private Reiki Master training for a client in Nov.

I am grateful for these personal expansion experiences:

- Participating in a group couples coaching program with Brian where we learned and practiced deepening our masculine/feminine polarity and authentic communication which helped us to revive our relationship connection and chemistry, so we could continue rebuilding our marriage on a solid foundation.
- Supporting Brian’s health through cooking healthy home-made meals for our family.
- Attending the transformational Loved by Life retreat in Spain hosted by my mentor, Aveyah Joline Nelson, and with my blood sister, Rachel Nishikawa. I experienced deep heart-healing, sisterhood bonding, and relaxing into my soft feminine heart.

- Traveling to epic places with our family:
- Grandpa Joe’s 80th birthday celebration at Carlsbad Resorts in CA.
- Ski trip to Mammoth Mountain with Grandpa Joe and Grandpa Joni.
- Ocean-view condo vacation in Rosarito, Mexico with my parents and sisters.
- Spokane, WA lake house Labor Day family gathering with my parents and sisters.
- Amazing Southern California visits to family and friends.
- Multi-generational Great Wolf Lodge family gathering with Brian’s siblings, cousins and the kids’ grandparents.
- Desire on Fire feminine embodiment event in Austin, TX, and following that a 4-day romantic couples getaway with Brian.
- A luxurious and beautiful week in Maui, HI with Grandpa Joe and Grandma Joni.
- Falling in love with Encinitas, CA during our two week stay there in November.
- Celebrating Jason’s 7th and Lily’s 4th birthdays with their friends, grandparents, cousins and aunts and uncles in CA.
- Returning to our home in Jaco, Costa Rica, and receiving opportunities to collaborate with retreat and healing centers to bring holistic wellness to this area and create conscious community.

This was a hugely important year in my life, as the direction I am going for many years was set and committed to this year, and is in alignment with my truth, my values, and my heart.

There is SO much more expansion I am yearning for in 2024, and I will be actively visioning around it over the next few weeks.

A hint of what’s to come…
- Starting to surf.
- Beginning a new 9 month ta**ra facilitator training course together with Brian.
- Opening up applications for 1:1 coaching clients in January.
- Collaborating with healers, coaches, channelers, and light-workers to bring more love into the world, and support the awakening of humanity.

My theme for 2024 is Authentic Self-Expression. This includes the creative arts like singing, playing piano, ecstatic and tango dancing, and writing, as well as being more visible and vulnerable on social media to share my experiences, stories, and the raw truth of my heart. If you see more of me on here, I deeply appreciate your interactions to let me know my effort in breaking out of the walls of my introverted self are worth it. 😉

Thank you for reading this far. I love and appreciate you, even if we haven’t talked or connected in years. Reconnecting with friends and acquaintances from years past, and deepening my friendships is a strong desire for 2024.

This Friday, Dec 22, I'm excited to be participating in Clinic Day at Casa Elev8 in Esterillos Este, along with other wonderful healers and facilitators.

My offerings this week will be Reiki sessions in the morning between 10 am and 1 pm, and a brand new offering in the afternoon from 1 - 4 pm that I'm excited to debut, that I'm calling "Horse Communication."

I spent many years in the earlier part of my life living at the barn, and learning how to "speak horse" with natural horsemanship (aka horse whispering) methods that build trust and create harmony with a horse. In my "Horse Communication" sessions, you will learn how horses think and communicate, how to use your own breathing and body awareness to communicate with them, and the basics of natural horsemanship techniques from the ground.

There are many life lessons gained by working with horses, such as; being a trustworthy and reliable leader, staying calm even when another being has its nervous system activated, and creating positive motivation to move in the direction that you desire, and they translate over into parenting, relationships, and interacting in the world. And simply being in the presence of these giant-hearted souls is therapeutic in and of itself! 🐴💖
