The American International School of Costa Rica (AIS) is a private, non-profit association.

AIS is accredited in the United States by Cognia (formerly AdvancED/SACS) and also by the Costa Rica Ministry of Education. This allow students to earn both U.S.and Costa Rican high school diploma. AIS also offers a complete English as a Second Language program (ESL), Spanish as a Second Language program (SSL), and a Learning Support Program (LSP), that supports students with additional needs.

Our Middle School and High School students participated in the Youth Purpose Summit by World Leadership School, an experience designed to encourage students to explore their personal values, recognize their natural strengths, and discover how they can make a meaningful impact in their communities. 🌎🦅

Through reflection, collaboration, and engaging activities, our Falcons had the opportunity to think beyond the classroom!

This past July, AIS student Francisco R. attended the National Student Leadership Conference (NSLC) held at .

During this international experience, Francisco earned:
🥇 1st Place — Presentation on the use of drones in healthcare.
🥇 1st Place — British Parliamentary Debate.
