It's been over a year since SEAS closed it's doors and I continue to be grateful for the Blessings it brought into our lives. From the people we met, families we helped, and lessons we learned I cannot look back with sadness. Everything is as it was designed to be. Yet, I can't seem to take down this page. The memories here are precious. And maybe it will continue to be a meeting place to share those memories.

So very true
Just spent over $100 on back-to-school SUPPLIES. Not clothes or shoes or sporting equipment, but required school items for the classroom. I support higher pay for teachers and great benefits, but I am curious how this level of expense has been passed along to families in public schools. What trend did I miss? Comments?

Although Seas will no longer have a campus, we feel being in touch with the academic community continues to be important. Seas meant so much to us, and to many, so we will adapt this page as a resource, commentary, and more of a forum for discussion on both U.S. and international issues in education. This is particularly important for students who are unique learners who may be in a not-so-unique learning environment.
So, here is to the next chapter for Seas!
The last few weeks have presented some extreme challenges for Seas. Seas was founded upon the principals that children deserve a safe, academically challenging, socially enriching, and beautiful place to learn. Many have trusted us with this, but looking at the number of enrollment commitments we do not feel we can provide it. We simply do not have enough students to offer what Seas stands for and we are so sorry to all of you.
So we proceed with hope, love for what we have been a part of, and sincere gratitude to everyone we have had the honor to meet through Seas. The good and the bad experiences have shaped our family for the better. With all our hearts, we thank you.
