Learning to recycle can also be a lot of fun!

Our Pre-K students had a wonderful experience learning how to recycle paper, with the guidance and support of our Step 10 students. This activity was part of the Vigía American School program, which promotes environmental awareness and a commitment to a cleaner, more sustainable world from an early age.

In addition to learning, the children thoroughly enjoyed participating in a catwalk and performing arts events wearing outfits made entirely from recyclable materials. A creative, playful, and meaningful way to teach them that caring for the planet can also be very entertaining.

This is how we continue to raise awareness and build the future, through play, example, and purposeful education.

Today was a deeply emotional day for our community. After months of preparation, prayer, and pastoral accompaniment, our students took a firm step in their journey of faith, receiving the strength of the Holy Spirit in the Sacrament of Confirmation.

The ceremony was presided over by Monsignor Pablo Salas, whose close presence and tender words touched the hearts of all those present. He reminded us that this sacrament is not a goal, but a new beginning: a life in which our young people are called to be courageous witnesses of the Gospel.

Seeing our students, full of enthusiasm, hope, and love for Jesus, renews us as a community. Each one of them is a living seed of the Kingdom of God, and today, with the power of the Spirit, they begin to flourish with greater light and determination. We thank our A.S. families, and pastoral staff member who made this journey possible.

May the Holy Spirit continue to blow powerfully on Step 10!

Mother's Appreciation Month.
We began our celebrations by honoring the mothers of our seniors. A morning filled with emotion, creativity, and much love... expressed in several languages.

From the classroom and from their hearts, our students wanted to demonstrate that affection for their mothers transcends words and borders. Therefore, they prepared a series of presentations where languages were the centerpiece and a vehicle of affection. With dedications in french, italian and english, the students tenderly expressed what their mothers represent to them: their refuge, their strength, their daily joy. Through songs in Italian, they shared melodies filled with sensitivity and gratitude.

Each participation was unique, reflecting not only their mastery of the languages they had learned, but also their deep desire to pay tribute to those who have been a guide, example, and unconditional companion.

The day concluded with a special breakfast, where families shared moments of closeness, laughter, and emotion, celebrating this significant date together.

Hoy concluimos con el corazón lleno de gratitud el retiro espiritual con los estudiantes de Step 10, quienes se preparan para recibir el sacramento de la Confirmación. Fue una jornada significativa, en la que la fe, la reflexión, la alegría y la presencia de Dios se hicieron palpables en cada momento.

Este retiro marca la culminación de un camino que nuestros jóvenes han recorrido con entrega, preguntas, aprendizajes y esperanza. Es un paso importante, no solo hacia el sacramento, sino hacia una vida de compromiso y testimonio cristiano. Durante este espacio, tuvieron la oportunidad de reencontrarse con Dios de una manera íntima y personal.

Está preparación estuvo a cargo del área Pastoral, cuyo compromiso, dedicación y amor por la misión educativa y evangelizadora hicieron posible este retiro.

Que este retiro sea solo el comienzo de una vida cristiana consciente, valiente y comprometida.

ASMUN 2025: Diplomacy, Leadership, and Comprehensive Education

Our Model United Nations ASMUN VIII event established itself as a space of high educational and human value, where our students shone not only for their knowledge but also for their ability to dialogue, propose, and build together.

It was a true example of coordination, commitment, and teamwork, where students from different levels took on the role of delegates with seriousness and enthusiasm. Each intervention demonstrated how young people can express themselves confidently, debate with solid arguments, and act with conscious and respectful leadership.

These types of events not only enrich academic learning but also strengthen essential life skills: audience management, public speaking, critical thinking, empathy, active listening, and peaceful conflict resolution. These are fundamental skills for developing global citizens committed to the reality of the world.

We celebrate and deeply thank all the students, teachers, and organizers who made ASMUN 2025 a meaningful and memorable experience.

ASMUN 2025: Diplomacia, liderazgo y formación integral

Nuestro Modelo de Naciones Unidas – ASMUN VIII se consolidó como un espacio de alto valor educativo y humano, en el que nuestros estudiantes brillaron no solo por su conocimiento, sino por su capacidad de dialogar, proponer y construir en conjunto.

Fue un verdadero ejemplo de coordinación, compromiso y trabajo en equipo, donde estudiantes de distintos niveles asumieron con seriedad y entusiasmo el rol de delegados. Cada intervención fue una muestra de cómo la juventud puede expresarse con seguridad, debatir con argumentos sólidos y actuar con liderazgo consciente y respetuoso.

Este tipo de eventos no solo enriquecen el aprendizaje académico, sino que fortalecen habilidades esenciales para la vida: el manejo del público, la oratoria, el pensamiento crítico, la empatía, la escucha activa y la resolución pacífica de conflictos. Competencias fundamentales para formar ciudadanos globales comprometidos con la realidad del mundo.

We want to proudly and excitedly congratulate our students for participating in the San José Music Fest 2025.

Our band, Kohf Kohf, took second place in the Rock Band category. Their energy, originality, and teamwork thrilled the audience.

Luciana Bloom, from Step 4, received an Honorable Mention in the Children's category. Her talent and dedication on stage moved the judges.

And a special round of applause for Samuel Simmonds, from Step 10, who won first place as a Soloist in the Youth category. His voice, stage presence, and passion left us speechless. A performance worthy of a standing ovation!

To all of you: thank you for honoring the name of our institution, for inspiring your classmates, and for reminding us that with dedication, artistry, and love for what we do, dreams can be achieved.

We are immensely proud!

¡Orgullo American que se escucha fuerte!

Queremos felicitar con enorme emoción y orgullo a nuestros alumnos que participaron en el San José Music Fest 2025.

Nuestra Banda Kohf Kohf se llevó el 2º puesto en la categoría Banda de Rock . Su energía, originalidad y trabajo en equipo hicieron vibrar al público.

Luciana Bloom, de Step 4, recibió una Mención de Honor en la categoría Infantil. Su talento y entrega sobre el escenario conmovieron al jurado.

Y un aplauso especial para Samuel Simmonds, de Step 10, quien obtuvo el 1er puesto como Solista en la categoría Juvenil. Su voz, presencia escénica y pasión nos dejaron sin palabras. ¡Una presentación digna de ovación!

A todos ustedes: gracias por dejar en alto el nombre de nuestra institución, por inspirar a sus compañeros y por recordarnos que con dedicación, arte y amor por lo que hacemos, los sueños sí se alcanzan.
