Today we’re going to learn a little bit of vocabulary — in this case, about toolboxes and all these things that I honestly have no idea how to use. In fact, I borrowed this toolbox just for the video. 🧰

But for all the handy people out there, here’s some useful vocabulary so you don’t get lost next time you go to a hardware store. 🔧

In English, “pet,” “stroke,” and “caress” are not exactly the same… but in Spanish, we usually use just one verb for all three: acariciar. 🤯

That’s why translating word by word doesn’t always work. Sometimes, learning Spanish is about understanding how the language actually thinks. 🧠✨

Save this video if you’re learning Spanish and want to sound more natural. 🦊📚

These are some of the Spanish verbs you absolutely need.😮‍💨🥹

We put together flashcards with some of the most common irregular verbs in Spanish, plus their conjugations in the present, past, and future, so you can practice the forms you’ll actually use.

Save this post and use it as a quick study guide whenever you need to review. 🦊😏

“Por” vs “Para” — the rule that actually sticks 🧠

Most Spanish learners overthink this. Here’s your shortcut: por = because of, para = in order to. That’s it. Run every sentence through that filter and things will start making sense way faster than any textbook will ever get you there.

Is it a oversimplification? Sure. Does it work? Absolutely. 🎯

Save this, try it out, and let me know in the comments if it clicks for you.

Spanish actually keeps it pretty simple when it comes to the future — there are only two ways to talk about it. 🤔😁

The first one you’ll use constantly: ir + a + infinitive. Voy a comer, voy a salir, voy a estudiar. It’s casual, it’s everywhere, and it’s the one native speakers reach for in everyday conversation.

The second is the simple future — comeré, saldré, estudiaré. A little more formal, great for plans that feel further away or more definitive.

Two structures. That’s it. Which one are you already using? 👇

That moment when you say “estoy excitado” and everyone goes quiet… yeah, we’ve all been there 😅

English and Spanish don’t work the same way — and when you translate word by word, things can get awkward fast. These are the most common mistakes English speakers make in Spanish, and exactly how to fix them. 🦊

The good news? It’s not your fault. Nobody told you “embarazada” doesn’t mean embarrassed, or that “estoy caliente” has nothing to do with the weather 🔥

That’s what we do at Mister Fox Spanish School 🇨🇴

W***y Wonka speaks Spanish — and so can you. 🎩🍫
This is how real Spanish sounds. No textbook. No slow, robotic pronunciation. Just a classic scene, the way native speakers actually say it.
First you hear it in Spanish. Then in English. That’s it. That’s the method.
Your brain does the work. You don’t need to translate every word — you just need to listen. 👂
Watch it twice. You’ll be surprised how much you catch the second time.

This is comprehensible input: the most natural way to acquire a language. No grammar charts. No memorization. Just real content, real context, real Spanish.

“I’m embarrassed” ≠ “Estoy embarazado” 😅
One means you’re red in the face… the other means you’re expecting a baby. Big difference. HUGE. 👶
Spanish is full of false friends — words that look like English but mean something completely different. And yes, people make these mistakes every single day. 😬
💡 At Mister Fox Spanish School, we make sure you never have one of these awkward moments in real life.
Can you think of another false friend in Spanish? Drop it in the comments 👇

If you’ve been learning Spanish with Duolingo, you’re missing something 🌶️
The flow. The slang. The way Colombians actually talk.
Duolingo will teach you to translate. But real conversation? That’s a whole different level 🎯
You can memorize every word in the app and still freeze the moment someone says “¿quiubo, parce?” 😅
Real Spanish isn’t learned from a streak — it’s learned from real people, real culture, real Colombia 🇨🇴
That’s exactly what we do at Sr. Zorro. Not textbook Spanish. The real thing. ✨
