🤗📝We are pleased to share the first session of a pedagogical strategy developed for the course Foundations of Research in Education and Applied Linguistics. 💯This initiative seeks to create opportunities for students to engage in meaningful dialogue with national and local scholars about different aspects of research and research methodology.

☝️For this first session, the student had the opportunity to meet Professor Jhonatan Vásquez-Guarnizo from Universidad Pedagógica y Tecnológica de Colombia (UPTC).🤝 During the session, they discussed key elements to consider when developing a research proposal, connecting theoretical perspectives with practical insights from the field.🙋 The students also shared questions, concerns, and reflections emerging from the course readings and class discussions, fostering a valuable academic exchange between the classroom and the experiences of an active researcher.

🤩🤩Today, the Advanced English students had the chance to engage in a conversation with our alumnus and former Harvard student, Ignacio Rodríguez. He spoke about his experiences as an undergraduate student at Universidad Surcolombiana, shared some of his most cherished memories from Harvard, and provided recommendations for those interested in pursuing international study opportunities.

💫📚 This enriching conversation took place as part of the first unit of the course, led by Professor Losada, which centers on exploring university life and academic pathways.

We are glad to have our: "Language & Imagination:” ELT's 4th Short Story Writing Contest.

🎉Participation is open to students enrolled in the ELT program. Just submit your fictional short story. It must not exceed 2,100 characters in length and should be typed in 12-point Times New Roman font, with 1.5 line spacing, using Microsoft Word.

💐Winners will be awarded certificates and cash prizes during the awards ceremony (1st, 2nd, 3rd).
