Thank you to our community! With the support of the University of Medellín, the District’s Environment Network, our Community Board (JAC), our local entrepreneur Mangata, the Comuna Project Foundation, and our international volunters, we carried out a beautiful cleanup and planting campaign in our community garden. The most important focus was the children and their learning about urban agriculture and environmental care.
Community-Based Tourism (CBT) gives back to the community, promoting environmental conservation and local socio-economic development.
¡Gracias a nuestra comunidad!

🌍✨ Newly Launched: Community-Based Tourism in Comuna 13 in Medellín! ✨🌍
Looking for an experience beyond the typical mass tourism? Join CBT by Comuna Project, where you’ll do more than just visit—you’ll connect. Most of our storytelling comes straight from neighbors in their homes, giving you a unique, personal perspective on Comuna 13’s incredible transformation.
Our tours are longer than the usual graffiti tours, giving you time to explore not only the iconic murals but also lesser-known areas of the most visited neighborhood in Colombia. Plus, your participation directly supports Comuna Project, our nonprofit dedicated to education and mental health. We follow fair trade principles and adhere to triple sustainability (social, economic, and environmental), ensuring your visit leaves a positive impact. 💛

Last year with the help of our friends we arrived at Don Omar's Coffee Orchard to verify this as a point of interest for tourists and residents alike. Thank you for your feedback. We are well on our way to launching this Coffee Tour!
Friends, This is Yuri from Comuna Project. We are launching an exciting new community based tourism operation. The income from this will help our Foundation sustain and grow to continue to service our communities through mental health assistance and education programming. We are not your typical tourism. Our tours will be guided by our staff working in the community and with stories directly from people who have lived the unique journey of transformation. We invite you to be part of this cultural exchange through authentic experiences and first hand knowledge.
Please pass along our account to anyone interested in conscious and ethical tourism. And thank you for your support.
