• Me estoy asando → “I’m roasting” / I’m extremely hot
• Vamos por la sombrita → “Let’s go through the shade” / Let’s stay in the shade
• Este calor está muy bravo → “This heat is really angry” / This heat is intense
• Está haciendo un solazo → “There’s a huge sun” / The sun is extremely strong today
• ¡Qué solazo! → “What a huge sun!” / The sun is brutal today

• ¡Nos derretimos! → “We’re melting!” / It’s insanely hot

💬 Expresiones auténticas que usamos todos los días:
• ¿Cuánto cuesta? → How much does it cost?
• ¿Cuánto vale? → Same meaning, super common in Colombia.
• ¿A cómo tiene los mangos? → How much are the mangos? (markets)
• ¿A cómo me deja el kilo? → What’s your best price for a kilo?
• ¿Me va a dar ñapa? → Are you giving me something extra?

🇨🇴 In Colombia, ahorita doesn’t mean “right now”! 😅

If you’re learning Spanish, this is one of those words that can totally confuse you. In Colombia, when we say “ahorita”, we might mean in a few minutes… or even later! ⏰😂
It’s not the same as “right now”, so next time someone tells you “Ahorita te llamo”, don’t wait by the phone too long! 😜

👉 Literally: I’ve got my hands full (carrying too many things).
👉 Figuratively: I’m stuck in a tricky situation.
