Using a DBX Noise Reduction in a non-conventional way.
Instead of using it on an analog tape recording, I use it to clean up the sound of an old Yamaha Electone Organ.
The signal from the Electone goes direct into the DBX 150, from there it goes to a Moog Minifooger Drive and then to a DBX 166xs compressor (for a tiny bit of compression to compensate the signal when the filter of the Minifooger makes it oscillate)
I haven´t published in this profile for a long time, and since lately I´ve been helping people with different music software issues or helping setting up midi and recording home studios, i think it´s time to start posting again and offering my services: if you have any problem with your midi or audio rig, or have questions about midi modules /synthesizers / software, send me a line and we can arrange a Skype/WhatsApp/Hangouts session.
