A successful PYP Exhibition! 🧠🤩

With a mixture of nerves and excitement, our Grade 4 students presented their research projects during the PYP Exhibition.

Over two days, they showcased the results of their research in front of parents, classmates, teachers and visiting schools. Students were also able to choose from five categories for their projects:

-Life 💭
-Sustainability ♻️
-Culture 🌟
-Nature 🌿
-Art Gallery 🎨

Through the PYP Exhibition, our students have the opportunity to explore real-life issues related to the Sustainable Development Goals and present their findings to an audience, strengthening attributes they learn through the IB such as inquiry, reflection and communication.

🎭🎶 We would like to give a very special recognition to the Primary band and drama group for their incredible performances. Thank you for sharing your talent with us!

¡Éxito en la PYP Exhibition! 🧠🤩

Con muchos nervios y emoción, nuestros estudiantes de grado 4.° realizaron la presentación de sus proyectos de investigación durante la PYP Exhibition.

Durante 2 días, mostraron los resultados de sus investigaciones delante de padres, compañeros, profesores y colegios invitados. Además, los estudiantes pudieron elegir entre 5 categorías para realizar sus proyectos: 

-Vida 💭
-Sostenibilidad ♻️
-Cultura 🌟
-Naturaleza 🌿
-Galería de Arte 🎨

Con la PYP Exhibition, nuestros estudiantes tienen la oportunidad de explorar problemáticas de la vida real, relacionadas con los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible, y presentar sus descubrimientos ante una audiencia, fortaleciendo atributos que aprenden con el BI como indagación, reflexión y comunicación.

🎭🎶 Hacemos un reconocimiento muy especial a la banda y el grupo de teatro de Primaria por sus increíbles presentaciones. ¡Gracias por compartir su talento con nosotros!

🌟 It has been 30 years since the Class of 1996 graduated, and to mark the occasion, we held a special lunch at the school.

It was a wonderful occasion where they not only recalled incredible stories and moments, but also reunited with two of their teachers from back then: María Mercedes García and César Guzmán 🥹

Thank you for visiting, Class of 1996! The English School will always be your home 🏡

Once TES, Always TES! 🎓

Han pasado 30 años desde que la Generación 1996 se graduó y, para conmemorarlo, realizamos un almuerzo especial en las instalaciones del colegio.

Este fue un espacio maravilloso en el que no solo revivieron anécdotas y momentos increíbles, también se reencontraron con dos de sus profesores de ese entonces: María Mercedes García y César Guzmán 🥹

💫 With just a few days to go before their graduation, our Class of 2026 enjoyed a day full of fun, reflection and unity. 

During their final Coexistence workshop, they had the chance to reflect on their time at school and the lessons they’ve learnt that will help them in their university years. They completed the experience by reconnecting with their inner child thanks to the inflatable games and mechanical bull prepared by their parents.

💫 Faltando pocos días para su graduación, nuestra Generación 2026 disfrutó de una jornada llena de diversión, reflexión y unión.

A través de su última Convivencia, pudieron reflexionar sobre su tiempo en el colegio y los aprendizajes adquiridos en el colegio que podrán aplicar en su etapa universitaria y complementaron esta experiencia volviendo a conectar con su niño interior gracias a los inflables y toro mecánico que prepararon sus papás.

¡Comienza la cuenta regresiva para su gran día, Generación 2026! 🤩🎓

   

🎤🎸 In the final term of the school year, our Early Years choir and Secondary band took part in the UNCOLI music festivals in their respective categories.

🌟 Our choir, made up of 61 children from Jardin and Transition, performed the songs “Simón el Camarón” by María Isabel Murillo and “So Many Colors, So Many Shapes” by Ja-Hae Oh, Joshua O’Rourke Grimley and Yiorgos Hagilaris.

🌟 Meanwhile, our band, made up of 13 students from Grades 6 to 11, performed “I Want You Back” by The Jackson 5 and played an original song composed by our students Sofía (Grade 9) and Tomás (Grade 11).

We congratulate each of our musicians on this wonderful display of talent, dedication and creativity ✨

🎤🎸 En el último trimestre del año escolar, nuestro coro de Años Iniciales y banda de Bachillerato participaron en los festivales de música UNCOLI de sus respectivas categorías.

🌟 Nuestro coro, conformado por 61 niños de Jardín y Transición, participó con las canciones "Simón el Camarón" de María Isabel Murillo  y "So Many Colors, So Many Shapes" de Ja-Hae Oh, Joshua O'Rourke Grimley y Yiorgos Hagilaris. 

🌟 Por su parte, nuestra banda, conformada por 13 estudiantes de grados 6.° a 11.°, participó con “I Want You Back” de The Jacksons 5 y tocó una canción inédita compuesta por nuestros estudiantes Sofía (G9) y Tomás (G11).

🧪🔎🔬Our primary and secondary students amazed us with their project presentations at the Science Fair.

Under the theme ‘Limitless: Where Curiosity Meets Discovery’, our students explored topics such as the evolution of the Earth, space, volcanoes, composting, the solar system and non-Newtonian fluids

It was an incredible day full of science, curiosity and innovation 🤩

🧪🔎🔬 Los estudiantes de Primaria y Bachillerato nos asombraron con la presentación de sus proyectos en la Feria de Ciencias.

Bajo la temática de Limitless: Where Curiosity Meets Discovery, nuestros estudiantes investigaron temas como la evolución de la tierra, el espacio, volcanes, compostaje, el sistema solar y fluido no newtoniano.

Fue una increíble jornada llena de ciencia, curiosidad e innovación 🤩

   

🔗🧠This year, TEDxTES Youth: Scratch That – Rewired reached new heights thanks to the participation of 10 speakers, 4 interstitials, and some great moments!

During their talks and interventions, they shared different aspects of their lives and invited the audience to reflect and look inward on topics such as: interpersonal relationships, science, language, trust, the lessons video games teach us, and even the importance of bats to our ecosystem.

We congratulate all the participants and the logistics students who, through their hard work and effort, made this a successful event! 🌟

🔗🧠Este año TEDxTES Youth: Scratch That - Rewired, llegó a un nuevo nivel gracias a la participación de 10 oradores, 4 intersticiales y ¡grandes momentos!

Durante sus charlas e intervenciones, compartieron distintos aspectos de su vida e invitaron al público a reflexionar y hacer introspección sobre aspectos como: las relaciones interpersonales, la ciencia, el lenguaje, la confianza, las lecciones que nos dejan los videojuegos y hasta la importancia de los murciélagos para nuestro ecosistema.

¡Felicitamos a todos los participantes y a los estudiantes de logística quienes, con su arduo trabajo y esfuerzo hicieron de este un evento exitoso! 🌟



   

🤩🏆 Let's Go English!

We are proud to share the sporting achievements from May of some of our students who independently participated in national competitions:

🎾 Tomás and Ignacio, of Grade 6, were crowned champions at the Colombian Tennis Federation’s Year 5 Tournament, in the 14-and-under boys’ doubles category.

⛳ Bárbara, of Grade 9, was crowned champion at the II Parada Tour Élite in Karibana, held in Cartagena.

⛳ Víctor, of Grade 2, came second in the 21st International Junior and Pre-Junior Golf Masters 2026, held in Cali.

🎾 Tomás, of Grade 6, came first in the FCT’s Grade 3 Boys’ National Tournament held in Manizales.

🤩🏆 Let's Go English!

Compartimos con orgullo los logros deportivos, del mes de mayo, de algunos de nuestros estudiantes que participaron en competencias a nivel nacional de manera independiente:

🎾 Tomás e Ignacio de grado 6.° obtuvieron el título de campeones en el Torneo Grado 5 de la Federación Colombiana de Tenis, categoría 14 años masculino dobles.

⛳ Bárbara de grado 9.° recibió el título de campeona en la II Parada Tour Élite en Karibana, realizada en Cartagena

⛳ Víctor de grado 2.° logró el segundo lugar en el XXI Máster Internacional Infantil y Prejuvenil de Golf 2026, realizado en Cali.

🎾 Tomás de grado 6.° quedó en primer lugar en el Torneo Nacional grado 3 masculino FCT realizado en Manizales.
