Consistency is the one thing that changes everything in Spanish. Not the best app. Not the most grammar rules. Not the most hours spent studying.

Just showing up — every single day.

When you do that for 14 days, three things happen:

✅ You form the habit
Spanish stops feeling like something you have to do and starts feeling like something you just do. Like brushing your teeth or making your morning coffee — it becomes automatic.

✅ You build confidence
Confidence in Spanish doesn’t come from knowing every word or having perfect grammar. It comes from showing up consistently and proving to yourself that you can do this. Every day you practice, you’re telling your brain — I speak Spanish. And eventually your brain starts to believe it.

✅ You make progress
This one is simple but powerful — progress is not optional when you’re consistent. It’s guaranteed. You cannot show up every day and stay in the same place. Even on the days it feels small, something is shifting. Something is building.

That’s exactly what the Habla Everyday Spanish Challenge is designed to give you.

14 days. 1 minute a day. Free. Delivered to your inbox.

Rae shares about her experience with BTG Spanish. She like many of our learners took classes in high school and college but never felt super confident using her Spanish.

BTG Spanish helped boost that confidence and give her the resources necessary to take her Spanish to the next level 🙌🏾

Comment 12 below and we will share our 12-step pathway that’ll take you from beginner to confident Spanish in no time!

1. ✈️ Travel to a Spanish-speaking country every 1–2 years

2. 🗣️ Speak Spanish every day — even if it’s just to yourself

3. 📝 Always have 5–10 words you’re actively working into conversation

4. 👥 Practice regularly with native or fluent speakers

You don’t just learn Spanish — you build a relationship with it. 🇲🇽🇨🇴🇩🇴

Here’s what I actually do to keep my Spanish sharp (and what I tell every BTG student to do too):

1. ✈️ Travel to a Spanish-speaking country every 1–2 years — immersion does things no classroom can

2. 🗣️ Speak Spanish a little every single day — even if it’s just talking to yourself

3. 📝 Keep a running list of 5–10 words you’re actively working into conversation

4. 👥 Practice regularly with native or fluent speakers — not just studying about the language

5. 🌍 Take every opportunity to use your Spanish outside of a lesson — at a restaurant, with a neighbor, anywhere

The goal isn’t perfection. It’s momentum.

Most people think learning Spanish is about memorizing grammar rules and vocabulary lists. But the learners who actually start speaking? They do things differently.

Here are 5 habits that change everything. 🎯

1. Be okay with making mistakes.
Mistakes aren’t signs that you’re failing — they’re proof that you’re trying. Every error is your brain figuring out the language in real time. Give yourself permission to stumble, and watch how much faster you grow.

2. When reading Spanish, read aloud.
Silent reading keeps Spanish in your head. Reading aloud brings it to life. And it takes your pronunciation to the next level 🙌🏾🙌🏾

3. Don’t just study. Speak.
Studying Spanish and speaking Spanish are two completely different skills. You can know every conjugation and still freeze up in a conversation. Speaking is a muscle — and the only way to build it is to use it. Start before you feel ready, because that feeling of “ready” doesn’t come from studying more. It comes from speaking more.

4. Incorporate Spanish into your daily life.
The learners who make the most progress aren’t always the ones who study the most — they’re the ones who incorporate Spanish everywhere. Small, consistent touchpoints every day add up to something big over time.

5. Practice regularly with native or fluent speakers.
There’s something that happens in a real conversation that no app or textbook can replicate. Even one conversation a week with a native speaker will move you forward faster than hours of solo study.

Day 5 of the Habla Everyday challenge 💬

Today’s question: ¿Cuál es la diferencia entre hablar con confianza y hablar perfectamente?
(What is the difference between speaking with confidence and speaking perfectly?)

This one hit different. ⏱️

Because this is exactly WHY I started this challenge — and exactly what BTG Spanish is built on.

Hablar perfectamente means waiting until you have zero mistakes, zero hesitation, zero accent. It means staying silent until you feel “ready.” And for most adult learners? That day never comes.

Hablar con confianza means speaking anyway. It means getting your point across even when you fumble a word. It means being understood — not being flawless.

Confident speakers make mistakes. They just don’t stop talking. 💛
