✨🧡 A recap of our time at the Enactus Germany National Cup 2024 🧡✨

On the 13th and 14th of June, the Enactus National Cup took place in Cologne and Techdalo competed for Enactus Munich. Our pitch went very well, yet we did not win the competition this time. Taking part in the event was very valuable for all of us and we are very proud of our journey all the way there. 🚀 ✨

Techdalo has one mission: To enable equal opportunities.

This is Ani. She was one of the best students of her school year. However, due to financial constraints, she wasn’t able to attend university. Techdalo gave Ani the opportunity to pursue an education in the IT-field which in turn enabled her to get her first job offer.

“Techdalo gave me a chance to study Web Development at the Bogota Institute of Technology and to be part of workshops and mentorships. This allowed me to get a job at the biggest telecommunications firm in Colombia.”

Over the next 3 years, Ani will finance 1.5 incoming students with similar backgrounds by returning part of her salary to Techdalo. This means that with the help of some additional funding, this concept will allow Techdalo to scale itself in the near future.

There are many students like Ani all over Latin America. Let’s give them a chance and help them together!

In Colombia the socio-economic milieu of the parents still decides about the students’ access to high-quality education and hence strongly determines the future prospects of many young people. They lack a vision for the future, which denies them socio-economic advancement.

At the same time, many companies in Colombia are facing a shortage of skilled workers. They are particularly seeking trained programmers.

Techdalo builds a bridge to cope with the job situation in Colombia based on three main aspects. Financing, Mentoring and Job guarantee. First of all, our program covers all costs related to a four month long education at the renown Bogota Institute of Technology, where our students will gain skills in fields like Full-Stack Web-Development, which are sought after in the job market. Furthermore, our students receive mentoring by Junior and Senior mentors, who bring knowledge from companies like Microsoft and Oracle. Finally, we can only be satisfied with our program if our students receive a guaranteed job offer after completing our program. We are working together with partners like Aldeamo or the Wilo-Foundation to assist them during the application process.

Our approach satisfies both the need of skilled workers in the local IT-sector while giving young students a perspective which they otherwise wouldn’t have had.

At Techdalo, we give young people in Colombia a perspective for the future and help drive local digitalization.

Techdalo enables socially disadvantaged students to receive an education at the renowned Bogota Institute of Technology in the field of IT. Our program enables our students to find a well-paying job in the Colombian IT sector. More importantly, they are being offered a genuine perspective. At the same time, Colombian companies are provided with skilled staff in the face of a labor shortage.

As a project of Enactus München, our aim is to create a sustainable and social business based on the triple bottom line approach. This ensures that our actions have a long lasting impact that will benefit all of our students and partners in the long term.

Our team consists of highly motivated students based in Munich that all share the same vision: education can change the world. With this knowledge, our highest value is putting our students first with every decision we make.
