There’s nothing like a good dodgeball match to bring out the competitive spirit—and this week’s House event didn’t disappoint! Students jumped into the action with full enthusiasm: quick moves, team huddles, and plenty of support from the sidelines.

The highlight? A student vs staff match that had the whole crowd watching (and shouting advice). It was fast, fun, and fiercely contested—until the staff team clinched a surprise win, sparking both cheers and playful groans from the students.

These moments are what House life at Dulwich Hengqin is all about: community, connection, and memories in the making. More games to come—and we can’t wait.

The first inter-House match of the school year has set the tone for a dynamic year ahead at Dulwich Hengqin! Both the boys’ and girls’ House volleyball teams took to the court, bringing determination, teamwork, and plenty of House pride.

As the first competition of the year, the match marked a strong return for our House system—one of the cornerstones of life at Dulwich. Whether in sport, service, or the arts, every House event is a chance for students to grow together, lead by example, and build lasting connections across year groups.

What a great start to what promises to be a vibrant year of House spirit and healthy competition!

We’re proud to have officially launched our upgraded Enrichment Programme, evolving from our previous CCA (Co-Curricular Activities) model to offer a broader, more professional, and more diverse range of opportunities for students. As part of our commitment to holistic education, the new Enrichment Programme is designed to help students explore interests, develop essential life skills, and grow as confident, well-rounded individuals.

To support this, we hosted an Enrichment Fair for students and parents—an open, engaging opportunity to learn about the 60+ activities on offer this term. From sports and leadership, to music, drama, dance, visual arts, STEM, and more, the choices reflect the depth and variety of experiences we aim to provide.

As the school year wrapped up, our students enjoyed some well-deserved fun—from water gun games and balloon volleyball to a memorable trip to Chimelong Ocean Kingdom. 🌊💦🎈

These joyful moments are more than just end-of-year fun. As Mr Ringo Wu, Assistant Director (Pastoral), shared: “These activities are vital for our students’ growth—not just for university, but for life. The skills they develop now will empower them in their careers and communities. After all, they are our future leaders, and what they learn today is truly invaluable.”

As the academic year comes to a close, we came together as a school community to celebrate the achievements, growth, and spirit of our students.

In May 2025, Dulwich Hengqin had the honour of hosting this year’s RSC Drama & English Professional Development, led by two incredible practitioners from the Royal Shakespeare Company – Katherine Fletcher and Fiona Ross.

Over two dynamic days, educators from across the Dulwich and Dehong network — including schools in Shanghai, Beijing, Singapore, Seoul, Xi’an, and Suzhou — came together to explore innovative ways to teach Shakespeare, with a special focus on The Winter’s Tale. From drama warm-ups to classroom strategies, the sessions were rich with adaptable tools for both Drama and English classrooms across all age groups.

It was a joy to welcome 17 passionate colleagues to our campus, and even more rewarding to see the connections, creativity, and collaboration sparked throughout the event. The impact of this PD will extend far beyond the sessions — supporting a thriving culture of performance, storytelling, and shared learning across our schools.
