Honored to have been personally invited by Vice Mayor Tang Tang and the Yiwu Foreign Affairs Office to share insights on behalf of our diaspora community—immediately after returning from a 2-month business trip. 🇨🇳🤝🇺🇬

It means a great deal to see the Yiwu government actively listening to foreign investors and community voices. As Chairman of the Ugandans in Eastern China and the Yiwu East African Community Association (YEACA), representing over 10,000 members across 16 nations, I take this responsibility seriously.

Yiwu is my home. My family is here, and I am committed to strengthening the bond between China and East Africa—through trade, culture, and mutual trust. Looking forward to turning today’s conversations into real opportunities for our community.

🇺🇬🌍 From a small town in Uganda to being featured on Chinese national media—this one hits different. 🙏🏾

I was recently invited by CICG (China International Communications Group) —the official voice of China to the world—for an exclusive feature on their “Close-Up China” documentary series. The cameras came to Yiwu to document my work, my company, and my role as a bridge between two continents.

Behind this moment are years of hard work, sacrifice, and faith. I’m the founder of Yiwu Youlan Trading Company Ltd. , where we help African traders source products from China, and help Chinese companies bring East African agricultural and mineral products to China. We handle everything: sourcing, inspection, shipping, customs, and delivery. We have offices in Yiwu, Guangzhou, and Uganda, and a team that speaks Chinese, English, and Swahili.

I also serve as the elected President of the East African Community in Yiwu and President of Ugandans in Eastern China —roles that allow me to serve and uplift my community far from home.

But the truth is, none of this would be possible without the people who believed in me when I had nothing—my family, my community, and every client who trusted me with their business. This feature is for all of you. ❤️

This feature tells the story of my journey as the founder of Yiwu Youlan Trading Company Ltd. , a comprehensive trading and logistics firm serving as a two-way bridge between China and East Africa. From sourcing and quality inspection to shipping and customs clearance, we help African buyers access China’s vast manufacturing market—while also helping Chinese companies source high-quality agricultural and mineral products from East Africa.

Beyond the company, I’m deeply honored to serve as the elected President of the East African Community in Yiwu and President of Ugandans in Eastern China , representing thousands of traders, students, and professionals across the Yangtze River Delta region.

This recognition belongs not just to me, but to every client, partner, and community member who has placed their trust in us. Thank you for being part of this journey. 🇺🇬🇨🇳🤝🌍
