Brief Introduction to Yangzhou Xinhua High School
Yangzhou Xinhua High School is a four-star ranked school in Jiangsu Province with a history of ninety years. The school has been adhering to the educational philosophy of nurturing fully developed citizens. Coalescing morality and intelligence in the cultivation of the students, advancing morality and capability in the development of teachers and instilling morality and enthusiasm in the promotion of service. These are used as managerial strategies, with distinctive cultivation as emphasis points, with joint development of teachers and students as the core theme, with the reform of management system as driving force, along oureducational and scientific research as a guidance. We aim to preserve oursolidarity, and various activities to promote our development and ethos.
The school spares no effort to achieve the educational target of cultivating students with a healthy personality, solid foundation, great wisdom, strong aesthetic taste and development ability.
In the past glorious ninety years, Yangzhou Xinhua High School has forged the Xinhua Spirit: ‘Strive with unity, advance with load, innovate with realism, develop with science’, accumulated a profound cultural background and cultivated for our nation tens of thousands of outstanding talents, including academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering, distinguished generals, famous scholars and national model workers.
Our staff are excellent practitioners. Up to date, a total of 12 teachers have become teachers of special classification, and five of them are still on our teaching team. Currently, we have 4 professors and approximately 100 associate professors. And over 50 teachers won the national and provincial honor like National Model Teacher, National Distinguished Teacher, Provincial Excellent Educators and Provincial Excellent Class Advisors.
The school has distinctive Characteristics in school running. We thrive with school-based moral curriculum, which is deeply rooted in our rich culture to strengthen the effectiveness and pertinence of moral education in order to lead the school progress. The school enjoys high reputation for its educational Characteristics in Science and technology as it is one of the first Chemistry curriculum bases of senior high Schools in Jiangsu Province. Fruitful achievements have been made in Art and PE education, and in the diverse competitions concerningthis field, we have won prizes at various levels, like National Grand Prize, National First Prize.
The school has made remarkable achievements in cultivating talents. A significant number of outstanding students are admitted to famous universities both at home and abroad, like Fudan University, Nanjing University, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Southeast University, The Central Academy of Drama, China Academy of Art, Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, Belgian Royal Academy of Music (Royal Conservatory of Brussels).
The school has successively won over 100 honors, like The National School Art Education Advanced Unit, The Chinese Excellent Cultural and Art Inheritance School, The Civilized Unit in Jiangsu Province, The Most Harmonious School in Jiangsu Province as well as The Most Secure Campus in Jiangsu Province.
