Seoul National University (SNU) President Fellowship (SPF) Scholarship Program – Republic of Korea – Spring 2027

SCHOLARSHIP BENEFITS

Successful applicants will receive:

Full tuition fee waiver (up to six semesters)

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Applicants must:

Be Pakistani/AJK nationals.
Be current faculty members employed at recognized universities in Pakistan.
Not possess a doctoral degree.
Meet the admission requirements of Seoul National University for the selected doctoral program.
Satisfy all eligibility requirements prescribed by Seoul National University.
APPLICATION PROCESS

Applicants are required to complete both of the following during the application period:

Apply for admission to the Spring 2027 Global Talent Special Admission Graduate Program at Seoul National University.
Submit a separate application for the SNU President Fellowship (SPF).
Incomplete applications or applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered.

APPLICATION TIMELINE

Deadline: 06 July 2026 to 09 July 2026

Applicants are advised to prepare all required documents well in advance of the application deadline.

Scholarship: University of Pavia, Italy PhD Call, 42nd Cycle, academic year 2026/2027.

Deadline: 30 June 2026, 13:00 CET for the main call. A second-part call is also listed with deadline 24 July 2026, 13:00 CET.

Who can apply: Candidates of any age and nationality can apply, if they have a Master’s degree or equivalent second-level degree. Candidates expecting to complete the degree by 31 October 2026 may also apply conditionally.

Fields available: PhD programmes include Science and Technology, Life Sciences, and Humanities/Social Sciences. Relevant to you: Economics and Innovation Management, International Business and Organization (IMIBO).

Scholarship amount: The normal PhD scholarship is €16,243 gross per year, paid monthly. It may increase by 50% during approved research stays abroad.

Application fee: €35, paid online by the deadline. Without payment, the application is excluded.

Documents usually needed: CV, degree certificates, transcripts, passport/ID, research-related documents required by the specific PhD programme, and reference letters if required in Annex 1. Non-EU candidates with foreign degrees must upload certificates in Italian or English, or certified translations.

How to apply step by step:

First, open the official PhD call page and read the PhD course details carefully. Then choose the programme that matches your profile, such as Economics or IMIBO.

Second, prepare all documents in PDF format. Each file should be under 5 MB and named properly, for example: Tunio_CV or Tunio_Transcript.

Third, register on the University of Pavia online application portal. After registration, log in, go to Admissions, then Admission test, and select the PhD programme.

Fourth, enter your personal details, degree information, language choice, referee details if required, and request online interview if that option is available for your selected course.

Fifth, upload all required documents and submit the application before the deadline.

Sixth, pay the €35 application fee through PagoPA before 30 June 2026, 13:00 CET.

Seventh, check the website regularly. Candidates are usually not informed personally; results and rankings are published online.

🇦🇹 Austria Job Seeker Visa 2026 – No Job Offer Needed

Austria offers several legal pathways for qualified non-EU professionals to live and work in the country, subject to meeting eligibility requirements.

If you have strong qualifications, work experience, and language skills, this could be one of the most realistic routes to Austria.

WHAT IS THE RED-WHITE-RED CARD?

The Red-White-Red Card is Austria’s points-based residence and work permit for skilled non-EU nationals.

The card is usually issued for 24 months and allows you to live and work in Austria for a specific employer. After meeting certain conditions, you may qualify for the Red-White-Red Card Plus, which provides broader access to the Austrian labor market. 

WHO CAN APPLY?

Austria offers several pathways under the Red-White-Red Card system:

• Very Highly Qualified Workers
• Skilled Workers in Shortage Occupations
• Other Key Workers
• Graduates of Austrian Universities
• Start-up Founders
• Self-Employed Key Workers 

STEP 1: THE BIG OPPORTUNITY – JOB SEEKER VISA

Many Pakistanis do not know that Austria allows very highly qualified professionals to enter Austria even without a job offer.

If you score at least 70 points under Austria’s assessment system, you may qualify for a six-month Job Seeker Visa.

During this period, you can:

• Attend interviews
• Network with employers
• Search for qualified employment

However, you cannot simply work on this visa. It is only for job searching. 

STEP 2: HOW THE POINTS SYSTEM WORKS

Austria awards points based on:

• Education
• Work Experience
• Age
• English or German Language Skills
• Research Achievements
• Special Qualifications

To qualify as a Very Highly Qualified Worker, you generally need at least 70 points. 

STRONG PROFILES TYPICALLY INCLUDE:

• Master’s Degree or PhD
• IT Professionals
• Engineers
• Healthcare Professionals
• Scientists and Researchers
• Professionals with several years of experience
• Applicants under 40 years of age

STEP 3: DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

Typical documents include:

• Valid Passport
• Degree Certificates
• Academic Transcripts
• Employment Certificates
• CV
• Language Certificates (if available)
• Proof of Accommodation
• Proof of Financial Means
• Health Insurance
• Passport Photos

All non-English or non-German documents may require certified translations. 

STEP 4: APPLY FROM PAKISTAN

You must submit your Job Seeker Visa application at the Austrian Embassy responsible for Pakistan.

The Austrian authorities will assess your qualifications and calculate your points. The Austrian Public Employment Service (AMS) verifies whether you meet the required score. 

STEP 5: FIND A QUALIFIED JOB

Once in Austria, focus on sectors with strong demand such as:

• Information Technology
• Software Development
• Engineering
• Healthcare
• Skilled Technical Occupations
• Scientific Research

Austria regularly publishes shortage occupation lists, creating opportunities for qualified foreign workers. 

STEP 6: CONVERT TO THE RED-WHITE-RED CARD

If you receive a suitable employment offer during your six-month stay:

• Apply for the Red-White-Red Card
• Submit the employer declaration and employment contract
• Receive residence and work authorization for Austria

You do not need to return to Pakistan if you qualify and apply according to Austrian regulations. 

STEP 7: BRING YOUR FAMILY

After obtaining the Red-White-Red Card, eligible family members may qualify for residence permits.

Family members can often receive a Red-White-Red Card Plus, which provides residence rights and labor market access. 

STEP 8: LONG-TERM SETTLEMENT

After fulfilling residence and employment requirements, many holders move to:

• Red-White-Red Card Plus
• Long-Term Residence Status
• Permanent Residence pathways

Austria’s system is designed as a long-term skilled migration route rather than a temporary work program.
