The 10th Global China Dialogue has just wrapped up at the British Academy, under the theme “Governance for Global Education”. It was truly inspiring to spend the day with leading scholars from around the world, sharing insights on how education can narrow the gaps that still divide us.

My translated book, Levelling Mountain-high Gaps: Lessons from China’s Leading Rural Educators, was in the spotlight during the event – a big encouragement for me personally. As Director of Wuxi Institute of New Culture, I’m also proud that our institute has been a committed supporter of this high-level dialogue for six consecutive years.

We were honoured to hear opening remarks from Minister Wang Qi of the Chinese Embassy in the UK. Grateful for the conversations, and for everyone working to make education more just and more inclusive.
