How’s it going? It was a cool session, eh? 🇨🇦

We had the privilege to host Ms. Brenton, from the Recruitment Office at the University of Toronto, who visited SON all the way from Canada. 🍁

Ms. Brenton shared insights into campus life, internship opportunities, programme offerings, student diversity, and career prospects at UofT🦫. Many of the participating students and parents left feeling inspired and energised by such an engaging talk! 🫎

We had the great opportunity to host Prof. John D. Wong, Associate Dean of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Hong Kong (HKU), and his team today as they helped us shape a vision for our students' future. Besides learning about degree pathways and scholarship opportunities, we were thrilled to explore HKU's programme offerings across humanities, digital technologies, artificial intelligence, data science, and beyond, all inseparable from AI ethics. Nothing is better than planning for the future directly with experts in the field!

SON Library reopening 📚

The SON Library has always held a special place in our hearts, from joyful story times for our young learners to quiet study sessions for the older ones. It remains a special sanctuary dedicated to nurturing a lifelong love of reading for our entire school community. We are so excited to welcome you back to our refreshed space, so come visit us and celebrate our reopening this September 2026.

Summer Camp Week 2 – Discovering the Power of Unity & Cooperation ✨
夏令營第二週 - 發現團結與合作的力量

This week, our campers are building their English communication skills through interactive games, teamwork challenges, and engaging discussions. As they learn new vocabulary, practise speaking with their peers, and express their ideas in English, they are also discovering the importance of unity, cooperation, and mutual support.

By using English in meaningful real-life situations, students are gaining confidence, improving their communication skills, and learning how to work effectively with others. We are excited to see them continue growing as confident English speakers while developing important values that will benefit them both inside and outside the classroom.

本週，參加者透過互動遊戲、團隊挑戰及精彩討論，持續提升他們的英語溝通能力。在學習新詞彙、與同學們練習英語對話，以及用英語表達自己的想法的同時，他們也正在體會團結、合作與彼此支持的重要性。

透過在真實且富有意義的情境中運用英語，學生們不僅增強了自信心，也提升了溝通技巧，並學會如何有效地與他人合作。十分期待學生們繼續的成長，成為自信的英語使用者，同時培養出能夠在課堂內外受益終身的重要價值觀。
