Last Friday, architects from the Architects Association of Macau (AAM) visited the school to share insights about their work. 🏛️💭 Then on Saturday, ten SON students attended a hands‑on workshop also organised by AAM, where they collaborated and built models within their small teams, alongside students from other schools. 🛠️🏗️

A meaningful and engaging experience for those considering creative or design‑related paths. 🎨🌟 Thank you to AAM for organising this! 🙌🇲🇴

上週五，澳門建築師協會（AAM）的建築師們特別蒞臨本校，與同學們分享他們的建築生涯與專業心得。 🏛️💭 緊接著在星期六，我們其中十位同學參加了由該會舉辦的手作工作坊；在導師的指導下，他們與來自本澳其他學校的學生並肩合作，在各自的小組中集思廣益，親手組裝出精緻的建築模型。 🛠️🏗️

對於正考慮跨入創意或設計領域的同學來說，這無疑是一次既具啟發性又充滿趣味的珍貴體驗。 🎨🌟 衷心感謝澳門建築師協會的悉心籌辦！ 🙌🇲🇴

The "School of the Nations Active Campus Primary School Basketball Inter-School Competition 2025-2026," supported by the Macao Education Fund's "Active Campus" programme recently concluded at our indoor gymnasium. More than just a competition, this event was a wonderful journey of shared growth and learning where young athletes from five schools showcased incredible teamwork, sportsmanship, and dedication. 🌟

Our heartfelt thanks go to all the student athletes, coaches, teachers and families for their enthusiastic participation. Let’s keep moving forward and growing together! 💪❤️

As part of the yearly IB Diploma Programme orientation week at the SON, our students had the wonderful opportunity to meet with student ambassadors, and admissions officers who introduced the latest admission processes and exciting new course offerings. 📚💡

To make the visit even more special, a heartfelt thank you goes to our School of the Nations alumna, Manuela, for sharing her personal HKU journey. 🌟 Her stories provided so much inspiration and helped our students dream big about their own futures! 🚀💭

📢 For P6 students moving up to F1 – Summer English workshop now open for enrolment!

From P6 to F1 in English is a stage full of new experiences and growth. This two‑week workshop gives students structured practice in the key areas they will need—speaking, listening, reading, and writing—along with the essential grammar and vocabulary that traditional classrooms often rush through.

What to expect:
- Daily speaking and listening activities (discussions, short presentations, pair work).
- Reading and writing practice using engaging materials.
- Clear, focused work on grammar, spelling, and vocabulary – because confident English requires both practice and building good habits.

The workshop adapts to students’ actual levels. We adjust the materials and pace based on how the group responds, so no one feels left behind or unchallenged.

從 P6 升讀到 F1 的英語，是一個充滿新體驗與成長的階段。這個為期兩週的工作坊，提供學生在關鍵項目上有系統的練習——包括口語、聽力、閱讀與寫作——同時也涵蓋傳統課堂常常趕不及深入的必要文法與字彙。

你可以期待：
- 每日口語與聽力活動（討論、短講解、分組/同伴合作）
- 使用有趣的教材進行閱讀與寫作練習
- 對文法、拼字與字彙的清晰、聚焦訓練——因為自信的英語需要練習，也需要建立良好的學習習慣

工作坊會依據學生實際程度調整。

我們會根據小組的回應調整教材與進度，讓每位同學都能跟得上，既不會被落下，也不會覺得過於困難或缺乏挑戰。

🌾 From Biology to the Biosphere: Form 1 Visits an Organic Farm! 🚜

Our Form 1 students recently took their science lessons on the road to an organic vegetable farm in Zhuhai!

Back in science class, our students had been exploring the theme of "Specialisation and Cooperation." They learned how different parts of our immune system—like B cells and T cells—must team up to fight off diseases, and how various nutrients work together to keep our bodies strong. To see this concept in the real world, students first played a "Farm to Table" cooperative card game, taking on different roles to run a successful farm using organic practices like crop rotation, compost, and helpful insects instead of harsh chemicals. Afterward, they got their hands dirty picking fresh produce right from the soil.

By collaborating in both the game and the fields, our students saw how nature and society rely on cooperation. They gained a deep appreciation for the hard work that goes into the food on their plates. We hope this eye-opening journey inspires them to make thoughtful, sustainable choices about what they eat and how it’s produced. 🌍🌱

🌾 從生物到生物圈：中一學生出發參觀有機農場！🚜

為了讓科學課的知識走出教室，我們中一級的學生日前特別前往珠海的一座有機蔬菜農場，展開了一場生動的實地考察！

在之前的科學課上，同學們一直圍繞著「分工與合作」這一主題進行探索。他們學到了免疫系統中的不同成員（例如 B 細胞和 T 細胞）是如何並肩作戰以抵禦疾病的，也了解到各種營養素又是如何相輔相成來維持身體強健。

為了在現實世界中印證這個概念，同學們先是玩了一場名為「從農田到餐桌」的合作卡牌遊戲。大家在遊戲中扮演不同的角色，模擬如何運用輪作、堆肥以及引入益蟲等有機耕作方式，代替傳統的烈性化學農藥，共同經營好一座農場。接著，大家更親自下田，腳踏實地體驗從泥土中採摘新鮮蔬菜的樂趣。無論是在卡牌遊戲還是田間勞作中，同學們透過緊密的團隊協作，深刻體會到大自然與人類社會是如何仰賴「合作」來運行的。

這次的體驗也讓他們對餐桌上的食物多了一份感恩，深刻體會到粒粒皆辛苦的道理。我們衷心希望這趟大開眼界的主題旅程，能啟發同學們在未來的日子裡，對日常飲食及食物的生產方式做出更具永續性的明智選擇。🌍🌱
