Our Nursery class recently embarked on an exciting field trip to the arcade as the culminating Authentic Performance Task for their Unit of Inquiry, How We Organize Ourselves. As they entered the Making Conclusions phase of the unit, this trip provided a dynamic, real-world environment for the students to manage their own ”micro-systems.“ It was a beautiful experience filled with laughter and joy as they explored, played on the slides, and shared special moments as a community.

The remarkable body of work presented by our 2026 DP candidates reflected not only self-discovery, but also the inspiring growth and artistic evolution they have achieved throughout the course. This term, our Reception students have been deeply engaged in their unit of inquiry, How We Organize Ourselves, exploring how people work together in our community and the importance of making healthy choices. As part of this learning, the students had the wonderful opportunity to go on two exciting field trips: one to a local fire station and another to Distinct Healthcare. Both experiences provided hands-on learning and helped the students better understand the roles people play in keeping us safe and healthy.
