Children naturally show instinctive kindness and love in a well-prepared Montessori environment. Teachers continually prepare the classroom with order, beauty and organization and seek to promote self-care, caring for others and caring for their environment.

As Dr. Montessori once mentioned, “To welcome a new birth of a child is the beginning of a journey to live a better life for your self. Children show us in every second their love of order, love of learning, love of nature, love of being healthy, and love of being loved”. This reminds us to be the best model we can be to connect children with activities in the environment, and to support them as they find the joy of new challenges.

Every one at MSS deeply appreciates what this environment can do, as well as the touching moments the children bring to us.

During the golden month of October, the wonderful performances and engaging parent-child interactions made MSS Family Day and Community events particularly beautiful and unforgettable.

The success of all the recent events can be attributed to careful preparation and close communication between the school organizers and parent volunteers, as well as all participants’ passion and involvement.

MSS creates activities and products for our children to enrich their lives and have the chance to take on real responsibilities. Children feel honored to be included in the challenges and projects. Parent envolvement engages young children in activities that promote movement-based development.

Hands on experiences for parents and children shapes brain deelopment, language and human culture and bridges interaction with families.

Our hearts melt when we see a child deep in concentration with a smile animating his/her face. It is more touching when the joy, satisfaction and absorption show in the faces of the parents and teachers while they appreciate the children’s performance.

The beginning of a new school year, like the dawning of a new day, reminds us that the future holds infinite possibilities. We hope that you and your family have had a wonderful summer, filled with adventures and good health. We began a great school year filled with hope, vision, and excitement.

One of the many important teaching concepts in the Montessori classroom is the "teachable moment". This is unique to how Montessori teachers conduct their curriculum. Teachers use naturally occurring moments, experiences, or events to aid in the process of learning something new. Montessori teachers use all moments in the day as a platform for creating lessons for the children. When these opportunities appear, we love take advantage of the moment and turn it into a fun learning experience.

We enjoy watching children as they grow and develop independence; helping them to work together and develop friendships; teaching them about the power of learning and the magic in their imagination. These are the joys that we hope to share with your child this academic year.
