Bridging cultures through art at the Cross Cultural Talent Competition.

In celebration of our 130th Anniversary, Shanghai Jiao Tong University recently hosted the second Cross Cultural Talent Competition, bringing together students from over ten countries to celebrate global diversity through the performing arts.

The event featured ten international teams performing diverse acts including a ca****la, traditional instrumental duets, and modern dance. The stage was a true reflection of our global community, combining artistic talent with cross cultural collaboration. The evening also featured special guest performances from our international faculty, who delighted the audience with classic opera and pop dance routines.

Congratulations to the Crimson Radiance team, comprising students from Mongolia and Russia, for taking home the first prize. At SJTU, we believe that art is a universal language and that cultural exchange is the foundation of a shared global future.

When the team from Shanghai Jiao Tong University Antai College of Economics and Management stepped onto the stage at the 20th CFA Institute Research Challenge global final in Hong Kong, they carried with them the hopes of a nation. As the Asia Pacific champions, they faced fierce competition from top university teams worldwide. Their thorough analysis of a publicly traded company and confident defense before a panel of investment professionals earned them a spot in the global top 6—the best result ever for a Chinese mainland university in this prestigious competition.

This milestone reflects the depth of finance education at Antai, where students are trained to think critically and communicate complex ideas with clarity. The team's journey from regional victory to global recognition is a testament to their dedication and the support of their mentors.

Spotlight on the Stage! 🎬 Modernism in Motion at SJTU.
What happens when architecture meets performance art? 🏛️💃

Eleven M.Arch (International) students from 10 different countries transformed the SJTU School of Design into a vibrant public stage. As the grand finale of "Modernist Design: Past and Present," they used movement, light, and shadow to bring architectural thought to life.

Rebuilding 130 years of history with 5 million pixels.

Ahead of our 130th Anniversary, the SJTU Minecraft Society has officially completed a monumental two-year project: a fully immersive digital twin of our historic Xuhui Campus.

Built block by block using over 5 million pixels, this highly accurate virtual campus utilizes 3D reconstruction, virtual reality, and AI technology. It is far more than a gaming replica. It serves as an interactive platform for cultural preservation, campus navigation, and alumni engagement, officially bridging physical heritage with digital innovation.

Beyond the build, the society has pioneered technical advancements by developing and open-sourcing SJMCL, the first university Minecraft launcher supporting AI Agent and MCP services, earning significant recognition in the developer community. Their workflow has even yielded over a dozen academic papers and patents.

We are incredibly proud of the 30 student builders who combined technical excellence with a passion for SJTU history to create an enduring digital legacy.
