On January 3rd, 2017 graduates returned to Qibao Dwight as alumni to visit teachers and reconnect during this winter break.🎉🎉Jessie is among the four students who gave a speech to fellow Dwight students. Take a look at the following to see what she thinks of this event!🎉🎉🎉
“Taking the opportunity of being back to campus, we participated in a panel where we share our insights of studying and living abroad to help fellow students to prepare for their college lives. All alumni from two panels came from different types of education systems, such as liberal art colleges, large public universities or college-like universities.
We talked about the importance in geography and its related transport facilities, the differences in the studying environment and available resources between different types of colleges. We tried to not only focus on one specific school, but to share the general experience of being in an unfamiliar environment. More importantly, we encouraged students to visit college campuses during summer breaks, start to accommodate to people from different cultures and develop interests for possible majors.
It was our great pleasure to have this opportunity to give students from Qibao Dwight some practical suggestions about college application process and studying abroad☺️.”
