CHINA’S MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS:
China will assess the situation concerning the resumption of studies in China for foreign students

Thousands of Indian and international students studying in Chinese universities, who are unable to return to the country due to COVID-19 curbs, have appealed to the government to lift the travel ban and permit them to return to resume their studies.
The students, in the letter, urged the Chinese government to permit them to return after following all COVID-19 protocols including the necessary tests and quarantine procedures.

Asked for her response to the foreign students' letter, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying said, "the COVID pandemic is raging across the world and countries have formulated their epidemic prevention measures based on their national conditions. I believe people can understand that and practice that," she said.
She said China attaches high importance to the protection of the rights of overseas students.
“We request the universities and the colleges to stay in communication with them and ensure the courses online and any other format," she said.
"We are seeing the reality of the rising of the second wave of COVID-19 across the world. And countries are formulating their anti-epidemic prevention measures according to the situation on the ground. And our purpose is to protect the safety and health of overseas students. Chinese universities are required to handle their legitimate concerns," she said.

We also hope that soon, thanks to the joint efforts of all countries to prevent the pandemic, foreign students will be able to return to China, into the educational atmosphere for further study!~

In December 25-29,2019, a delegation led by Mr. Zhou Yong, Secretary-General of Alibaba Global E-Commerce Talent Network (GET) and executive vice president of China Campus Network (CCN)，and Miss Cathy Hu, Alibaba GET Partnership Manager， visited Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, Ministry of Economy and Finance and famous Cambodian universities in Cambodia. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, Minister of Education, Youth and Sport welcomed the delegation. Two sides exchanged opinions around the talent cultivation, expressing a cooperation wish in related fields by jointly supporting more students to pursue their study in China. During this visit , CCN and Alibaba GET delegation had won many consensuses with Cambodian government and universities in terms of Alibaba GET Center, International Foundation Program（IFP）Center establishment, digital talents cultivation etc.

On November 27, by the invitation of Luis Diego, ambassador of Colombia to China, Zhou Yong, vice president of China Campus Network(CCN) and Secretary-General of Alibaba Global e-Commerce Talent Network (GET), Zhu Jinping, Deputy Secretary of China Campus Network, and Oscar, project director of CCN Colombia, visited colombian embassy in China. Mr Zhou introduced to Mr Luis Diego, ambassador of Colombia and Ms. Ana Maria, head of Procolombia in China about the development of CCN, UEA and GET programs in Latin America. Colombian officials said they are looking forward to speeding up the talents cultivation according to the needs of digital economy in line with the Mexican model. The ambassador highly affirmed the advantages of the model of government-led, University enterprise cooperation for tailor made talents cultivation. Meanwhile, he praised the mission of "promote trade and investment through education with China insights" of CCN, and promised to promote the visitation of Colombian government, Universities and schools to China and settle down relevant education cooperation projects with CCN this year. As the largest organization to promote Colombia, Ms. Ana Maria also said that she would strengthen cooperation with CCN to jointly enhance the digital transformation of Colombian enterprises through training .
Next year marks the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Colombia. Colombia greatly values relations with China. At this time, both sides expressed that they will actively and practically implement projects and promote the development of educational cooperation between two countries.
