The SSIS was established in 1996 to provide quality international education to children of expatriate families in Shanghai.
Today, we have 1,200 students and 197 teachers, offering international curriculum from kindergarten to high school diploma (K-12).

Our little ones have been spreading festive cheer around the city! The Early Years choir had the wonderful opportunity to perform at the JW Marriott, bringing smiles and joy to everyone. Their voices truly lit up the holiday spirit! We‘re so proud of our young performers!

Last week was an exciting milestone for our Kindergarten 2 students as they experienced ‘A Day in Grade 1’! They had a blast getting to know their Grade 1 buddies, exploring thrilling taster lessons, and even enjoying lunch in the big cafeteria! 🍽️
This special day helped them gain a glimpse of what’s to come and made the transition feel even more exciting!

Exploring the world around them has never been this much fun! This fall, our Early Years students embarked on exciting excursions! From visits to a restaurant where they made their own pizzas to fun trips to the farm, the little ones had a blast learning hands-on.

SSIS Sports Star Series | Vera Lee – Rising Star in the Pool
Vera is one of our outstanding swimmers in the 9–10 age group, specialising in the 50m & 100m Freestyle and Backstroke.
She captured the Bronze Medal at last year’s SSL Championships—an incredible achievement among 450 swimmers and a podium that featured both 2nd and 3rd place winners from SSIS.
Moving into the 11–12 age group this year, Vera continues to grow stronger, faster, and more confident with every race.

Vera 是 9–10 岁组中表现突出的泳将，擅长 50 米与 100 米自由泳、仰泳。

One of the rising sports stars at Shanghai Singapore International School,Nicole made waves in the 9–10 age group, winning Silver at the SSL Championships 2025—just 0.05 seconds shy of Gold! 🥈
Competing against swimmers from 28 international schools, she embodied the true Sabres spirit. ⚡️
As part of the ACAMIS Swim Squad, Nicole also holds SSL records in the 100m I.M. and 50m Breaststroke.
