Shanghai is one of the worlds most thriving cities and most booming cities for teaching English in China and abroad. Giraffe is home to over 2,000 employees across Mainland China, with specialties ranging from teaching and training, to sales and IT, to countless other positions that arise in our creative work environment. In total we teach over 15,000 students per year, which can only be possible with our workplace emphasis on teamwork. It is everyone’s job to ensure that we are giving our students the best possible education and opportunities. Our flagship school, located in Shanghai, currently has a staff of over 200 individuals that care for all our students that are enrolled in Giraffe programs. The average staff member is under 30, has a champion’s attitude, and is prepared to take on any challenge. The Foreign Teaching Department is comprised of individuals from English-speaking countries around the globe, such as the UK, Ireland, Canada, the US, Australia, and New Zealand. One of our staff’s favorite aspects of working at Giraffe is the international camaraderie, and strong friendships are quickly formed here not only among the foreign teaching staff but with the Chinese teaching staff as well.
