YK Pao School is honored to be ranked first for Bilingual Middle Schools and Bilingual High Schools, and third for Bilingual Primary Schools in the 2026 Forbes China International School Annual Selection.

包玉刚实验学校在“2026福布斯中国国际化学校年度评选”中，双语初中和双语高中荣获第一名，双语小学荣获第三名。

From April 11 to 12 four Student Council representatives, Alisa; Alana; Yoyo; and Nemo, traveled with Mr. Jeff Zhang and Ms. Dream Xia to Inner Mongolia to plant trees for the YK Pao School Forest. Their visit was a testament to the success of last year's fundraising effort, which surpassed the threshold required to establish a forest through the Roots & Shoots Million Trees Project. While on the expedition, students also explored local strategies for combating desertification.

4月11日至12日，学生会代表任小蕾、施博芸、王优然、刘益睿四人携手张哲老师与夏俊老师，远赴内蒙古，为包校森林亲手种下树苗。这一行动见证了过去一年筹款活动圆满成功，也意味着筹款金额成功跨越了通过“根与芽百万植树计划”建立森林的门槛。在内蒙古期间，同学们还深入了解了当地防治荒漠化的有效策略。

In early April, the Year 12 Visual Arts students presented their IB exhibition. The works combined strong technical skill with thoughtful concepts, putting on show a wide range of personal ideas, materials, and approaches. The exhibition demonstrated the students' progress in painting and their independent creative spirit as young artists. Each student clearly explained their creative process, sources of inspiration, and artistic intentions, while sharing personal reflections on their journey. The event marked an important milestone for the Class of 2026 as they grow into confident, reflective artists with clear goals.

4月初，高中部12年级视觉艺术学生举办了他们的IB课程作品展。参展的作品技法精湛、引人深思，并展示了多样的个人理念、材料与表现手法。既体现了学生们在绘画技法上的进步，也显示出作为年轻艺术家的独立创作精神。学生们对观众清晰地讲述了他们的创作过程、灵感来源及创作意图，并分享了自己的心路历程。此次展览标志着他们在成长道路上的重要时刻， 即2026届正不断成长为自信、善于反思且目标明确的艺术家。祝贺大家圆满地举办了这次展览，也预祝她们在今后的学习和生活中创作出更多优秀的艺术作品。

The spring semester brings a sense of anticipation for the future. YK Pao School’s Class of 2026 has achieved excellent university admission results. Among our 131 graduates, 95% were admitted to Top 30 US universities, Top 15 US liberal arts colleges (LACs), Top 10 UK universities, and Top 3 Hong Kong universities. 48% of students received offers from Top 20 US universities, Top 15 LACs, and Top 5 UK universities. 16% of them will continue their studies at the renowned Ivy-Plus* universities, Top 10 LACs, and Oxbridge.

Class of 2026 students have been admitted to a range of universities, including Stanford, the University of Chicago, Johns Hopkins, Columbia, and Carnegie Mellon, as well as top liberal art colleges such as Wellesley, Carleton and Middlebury. On the UK front, our students received offers from Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial, LSE and others.

These broad and impressive results reflect our students’ hard work and growth, and recognize the dedication of our teachers and the support of their families. We look forward to seeing our graduates continue to pursue excellence and to carry forward YK Pao School’s character education and core values as they embark on their next chapters.

包玉刚实验学校2026届131名毕业生在大学录取上取得了优异成绩：95%的学生获得来自全美前30名大学，前15名文理学院，英国前10名或香港前3名的大学录取；48%的学生获得来自全美前20名大学，前15名文理学院或英国G5大学录取；同时16%的学生被美国“常春藤+”*，前10名文理学院或牛津/剑桥录取。

On Thursday, April 16, Pao School explored global excellence with the University of Toronto, McGill University, and the University of British Columbia. Each institution showcased its world-leading programs in the sciences, medicine, and engineering. With stellar rankings and competitive tuition, they remain a premier choice for Pao School students.

On the same day, three of the top five U.S. liberal arts colleges, Amherst, Bowdoin and Swarthmore, hosted a joint session at Pao School. They introduced the renowned liberal arts college (LAC) philosophy of fostering critical thinking and highlighted unique ‘3+2’ and ‘2+2’ dual-degree partnerships with institutions such as Columbia University. These programs break traditional undergraduate boundaries, opening broad pathways to advanced study and diverse career opportunities.

4月16日，加拿大排名前三的多伦多大学、麦吉尔大学和英属哥伦比亚大学来访包校。招生官们分别展示了三所名校的独特魅力，以及他们在科学、医学和工程领域的国际化优势。凭借卓越的学术声誉，加拿大名校正成为越来越多包校学子的理想之选。

同日，全美排名前五的三所顶尖文理学院 Amherst、Bowdoin 和 Swarthmore 应邀访问包校。招生代表们详细介绍了文理学院对学生明辨思维能力的深度培养，以及与其他大学（如哥伦比亚大学）的“3+2”和“2+2”合作项目。这些项目为学子的未来提供了更多选择。

On April 14, representatives from the University of Rochester visited to showcase the school's world-class academic offerings. Known for the Eastman School of Music (consistently ranked No. 1 by U.S. News) and the prestigious Simon Business School, the university emphasized its distinctive combination of rigorous research and high educational value. The session helped students understand why Rochester remains a highly competitive and attractive choice among top-tier private U.S. universities.

On April 15, Ms. Alison, the international admissions officer from Washington University in St. Louis (WashU), made the university’s first visit to Pao School. From the perspective of a ‘Top 20’ U.S. institution, she shared updates on the new Early Action (EA) cycle and the growing importance of “demonstrated interest”. Attending university-led sessions remains the most effective way for students to demonstrate thorough research and genuine engagement.

4月14日，罗彻斯特大学到访包校。该校拥有全美排名第一的伊斯曼音乐学院与顶尖的西蒙商学院，学术底蕴深厚。此次活动让包校学子得以近距离了解其学科优势与独特魅力。

4月15日下午，全美排名前二十的华盛顿圣路易斯大学国际招生官Alison老师首度到访包校。她不仅分享了新增EA轮次等最新招生政策，更指出“Demonstrated Interest（展现就读兴趣）”在录取中具有重要权重。Alison老师鼓励学生积极参加校园分享会，以此向大学展现自己对学校的深入调研。

The outstanding qualities of Pao School faculty have recently received notable recognition beyond the school. The High School Math team, led by Li Yingkai, has recently been rated 'Excellent' by an expert panel from the project titled “Development Programme of Excellence in Shanghai Private School Young Teachers'. A project led by teacher Monica Chen similarly received an 'Excellent' rating in the mid-term achievement assessment.

近期，包校教师团队在多项评选中佳绩频传：在“上海市民办中小学中青年优秀教师团队发展计划”中，李应凯老师领衔的项目获终结项考核“优秀”等级，陈似岚老师领衔的项目同样获中期成果考核“优秀”等级。在上海市中小学民办协会第二届“我心目中的好老师”评选中，小学部龚势祺老师、初中部曹宗悦老师与高中部鲁珺瑛老师荣获“教育典范教师”称号；小学部姚盼攀老师荣获2025年长宁区学校艺术教育“先进个人”荣誉称号；初中部薛弘毅老师和高中部李应凯老师均成功入选中国教育国际交流协会AFS项目2026年STEM学科全球教育工作者奖学金项目。这些荣誉，正是包校长期重视教师专业发展的生动缩影。

On April 13, Pao School welcomed a Consular Officer from the Consulate General of the United States in Shanghai. The session provided Year 11–12 students and parents with authoritative guidance on the F1 visa application process and essential documentation. The officer addressed common concerns and debunked myths regarding the impact of applicants’ social media activity on visa outcomes, offering clarity and confidence to our future global scholars.

4月13日，包校高中部邀请美国驻上海总领事馆签证官莅临校园。分享会聚焦11-12年级学生及家长关心的F1学生签证关键流程及材料准备，权威解答了申请中的常见疑问，并针对社交媒体动态等面签误解进行了澄清，为学子的赴美之路提供了官方指引。

On the evening of 16 April, the YK Pao High School Chinese Drama Club opened its annual short-play showcase, "Redefining Home", at the Black Box.

The programme featured three distinct pieces — "The Dream", "The Cage" and "The Village" — which together examined how "home" is redefined by upheaval: the collapse of family, the isolation of imprisonment, and the dislocation of migration.

Amid these trials, the works affirmed that people continue to seek belonging and to kindle one another's light in the darkness.

4月16日晚，包校高中部中文戏剧社年度短剧展演“关于家”在黑箱剧场拉开帷幕。展演由三部风格迥异的短剧或戏剧选段组成，分别为《红楼梦》选段《入梦》、《鸡兔同笼》及《宝岛一村》节选。三部作品共同探讨了一个深刻命题：“家”在压力与巨变中如何被重新定义——无论是家族的崩塌、监狱的隔离，还是迁徙的漂泊，人始终在寻找归属，也始终在黑暗中彼此照亮。
