In July 2026, the World Artificial Intelligence Conference took place in Shanghai. Pao School participated in three roles: through student innovators on the exhibition floor; through educators at a roundtable forum; and through performers putting a technological twist into intangible cultural heritage, a fusion of traditional drumming and AI music.

Twelve years is long enough for a seed to become a tree, and a child to come of age. The Class of 2026 has left the school gates, with each student now heading their own way. Among this cohort, no less than 27 students have spent their entire twelve years at Pao School, completing a full circle of growth. Their parents, who have walked every step with them, have much to share.

At the end of May, the Hongqiao campus officially opened its semester exhibition, "From Mind to Matter," with the show and a series of arts activities running for a full month. The exhibition brought together works from every visual arts class across the school, truly achieving full participation and making each child's creativity and passion visible. The art classrooms in the primary school have been equally lively. As the semester drew to a close, children of all grades transformed the results of their inquiry units into heartfelt works.

YK Pao School is proud to announce exceptional International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma results for the Class of 2026, with a 100% pass rate and an outstanding average score of 39.1 points. Four students achieved a perfect score of 45, while eight earned near-perfect scores of 44, and 50 students (39% of the cohort) scored 40 or more points. The cohort also demonstrated remarkable bilingual excellence, with 121 of 128 candidates (95%) earning the prestigious IB Bilingual Diploma in English and Chinese Language A.

We are incredibly proud of every student in the Class of 2026 for their dedication, resilience, and growth. Congratulations to our graduates, and heartfelt thanks to our teachers and families for their unwavering support. We wish our graduates every success as they embark on their exciting futures around the world.

祝贺上海包玉刚实验学校2026届学子在IB考试中交出了令人瞩目的答卷。全体学生获得IB文凭。包校39.1的平均分远超全球均分30.88，其中，4名学生获得满分45分，8名学生获得近满分的44分，50名学生（占年级总人数的39%）获得40分及以上。更值得一提的是，在128名考生中有121名学生（占年级总人数的95%）成功获得了IB英文与中文语言A双语文凭。

In June, YK Pao School held ceremonies for Year 5 graduation, Year 8 promotion, and Year 9 graduation across its three campuses in Wuding, Hongqiao, and Songjiang. School leaders, teachers, and parents came together to celebrate these milestones, and students delivered inspiring speeches and performances that truly embodied the spirit and talent of YK Pao School.

In June, the Pao School campus has been warmed and enlivened by the return of some of its distinguished alumni. Over the past two weeks, several of the school's graduates have come back to their alma mater, where they have engaged in deep conversations with younger students through themed alumni homecoming events and college-admissions talks, demonstrating their gratitude and recalling their roots through their actions and supportive messages.
