More than 50 sports and fitness activities are available on campus—and this time, we checked out three of them!
💦 The warm-up was no joke. With limited flexibility, it definitely felt challenging.
💪 The strength-based activity was on another level—power, lift-off, and coordination all required serious technique.
🎾 The tennis session was fantastic! Tracking the ball, anticipating shots, and reacting quickly made it a real challenge, though the serves were surprisingly consistent.
✨ Many of us started with preconceived ideas about certain activities (Pilates, for example), but quickly discovered how effective they are for building strength and improving overall athletic performance.
🥊 Fencing, boxing, swimming… there’s something for everyone.
🤔 Which sport should we take on next?

“What truly matters has never been the scale of an action, but the moment someone chooses to commit to it.”
At emlyon business school, the Student Commitment Award (Prix de l’Engagement Étudiant) shines a spotlight each year on student-led projects that genuinely engage with social and environmental issues. For the Class of 2026 edition, 13 projects and more than 60 students took action in response to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, transforming creativity, responsibility, and initiative into meaningful impact beyond slogans.
This year’s jury included not only Elsa Da Costa, CEO of Ashoka France, but also Antoine Payot, recipient of the 2023 Social Entrepreneurship Award. Inspired by his award-winning journey, he later collaborated with Caroline Ducelliez and Tristan Girardon to create the documentary LES PIEDS SUR TERRE, which was officially released in French cinemas in 2024.
From a project born on campus to an initiative capable of reaching society and inspiring wider change, emlyon has always believed that:
💖 Every act of commitment from students has the potential to become the starting point for changing the world.

🎓🦁 Recently, our emlyon business school students pushed open the doors of Capgemini Invent in Lyon!
As part of the course "Discovery of the Consulting professions", about forty students of the Master's degree were welcomed in the firm's premises for an exclusive immersion.
On the program: an immersion in the daily life of the consultant, a deciphering of the major challenges of the sector and a move to action with a real situation! The students worked in teams and then pitched on a post-acquisition onboarding case in the pharmaceutical industry, through the prism of digital transformation 💻⚡

Congratulations to Liu Xinyi, a student from the 2024 intake Bachelor of Science in Data Science for Responsible Business Year 2 , for achieving 4th place nationally in France at the EY Open Science AI & Data Challenge 2026 👏
The challenge focused on applying satellite data, climate data, and machine learning to water quality analysis and sustainable environmental monitoring. In addition to ranking 5th nationally in the technical model evaluation, Xinyi LIU distinguished herself through an outstanding final presentation and defense conducted entirely in French, ultimately securing 4th place overall and becoming the only female finalist among the Top 5 participants ✨
From data preparation and feature engineering to model development and final presentation, Liu Xinyi demonstrated strong technical expertise, cross-cultural communication skills, and an international mindset. Her achievement reflects the entrepreneurial spirit fostered at emlyon business school — encouraging students to push beyond their comfort zones and connect technology with meaningful social and environmental impact.
