WeCare 2021 Youth Seminar for Global Development

For those who missed our first cohort, our 2021 Fall session is open for application😄 Will share more details!

The first half of the program is successfully completed! The UN sessions and tours have been very informative and lots of fun. We have been told by many of our students that they only knew bits and pieces about the UN, and through virtual tours, real-world examples and personal stories, they now understand the UN, its missions and SDGs much better. Thank you again for the wonderful tours and online briefings! United Nations Visitors Centre Through such valuable opportunity, students are inspired and encouraged to learn more and do more. For the second part of the program, some chose the topic Respect for Diversity & Fighting Racism and others picked Achieving Gender Equality, we are all excited to see their research and learning outcomes in due time.

We are all excited about our upcoming research classes based on two important UN sessions: Respect for diversity and Achieving gender equality.

Warm welcome to our wonderful participants of WeCare 2021! We have students from top public high schools and International Schools all over China, like No.7 Middle School Zhengzhou, UWC Changshu, Shanghai Middle School International Division, Shanghai Pinghe School, etc.. Our session will start today, we can't wait to begin this rewarding journey with our students and great lecturers!

For WeCare 2021, student can choose from 2 major topics to focus their study and conduct in-depth research, the two topics are : Respect for Diversity & Fighting Racism and SDG5, Achieve Gender Equality.

As we are getting close to the Chinese New Year holiday, policies regarding COVID-19 have become the center of discussion. The world's biggest annual migration is now underway, but due to recent surge of COVID-19 cases, local governments are urging residents to refrain from travel this New Year. While it is tradition for Chinese to return home to visit families, this year, many may choose to stay in the cities for the health of themselves and of others.

Our new project WeCare Youth Seminar for Global Development in collaboration with the UN is open for registration! The project aims to help student participants gain deeper understandings of current global issues. We will guide participants in their research on chosen topics given by United Nations experts.
