We are happily to let you guys know that we successfully held our first APA Information Session last Wednesday! In this session, we introduced about our virtual internships and virtual consulting projects. We We were honored to have four guest speakers from different companies to share their experiences with students. Thank you to Eva Xu, Katherine Rumble, Georgios Marketakis, and Jimmy McWhinney!

Due to COVID-19, instead of traveling in person, Rowan University works with the APIEA to adapt its 2021 Global Engineering Program from offline to online, and additionally includes one more destination - Japan to provide another perspective from Asia. To help young engineers to have a better understanding of how engineering and culture interact in cross-cultural contexts, the virtual program invited speakers from various background, focusing on the global nature of engineering and what it is like to work as an engineer in a foreign country.

The students met for 1.5-hour sessions twice a week, which includes briefings on local culture & history, virtual visits to engineering and design firms in China & Japan, virtual tours of Beijing & Shanghai and Tokyo & Kyoto, as well as live-stream sessions interacting with local guides. With the support from Prof. Scott Streiner & Prof. Tiago Forin, the program is a great success!
