惠安县荷山中学，地处惠东滨海东岭镇荷山村，是爱国华侨刘玉水于1950年独资创办的。学校位于一片形似荷叶的山坡上，东望净峰寺，西挹灵瑞山，背负螺阳，南濒龙湖，取其山川毓秀、人杰地灵之祥，故名荷山中学。校园现有占地面积85207 ㎡，校舍总建筑面积38502 ㎡，绿化面积9800 ㎡，图书馆、艺术馆、实验室、多媒体教室、计算机网络教室、师生食堂、运动场等硬件设施完善。
