Hello Everyone from the Philippines! Well, my venture was mostly a business trip, so I did not have much time to play. y quest was to buy land to build a home and see if all these different lands I liked online matched up to what they really were in person.
To be honest, the main town I wanted to stay near was a little disappointing, but a lesson was learned. There is always some good in disappointment if you look hard enough.
Things I learned about the Philippines;
1. Rice is life—OMG, rice is on everything you order.
2. Singing is Life: Wow, Filipinas can really sing well in live bands
3. A large portion of the public is poor, sadly.
4. They are still economically heavily affected by the COVID fallout.
Food is really fried-fattening and sweet. (but good, haha)
5. The end of June is the rainy season. Bring on the typhoons!
6. There are many volcanoes on the islands—7000 different islands.
7. The beach my hotel was at was gray and very soft, with no sand particles all over the feet. It's from the volcanoes.
8. Most people are friends and very family-oriented.
9. The first Filipino natives were not Filipinos; they were Aborigines from Australia a long time ago. You can see it in their culture.
10. Everything is GREEN GREEN GREEN.
