UNNC Civil Engineering alumna, Qianyi Yang, is now working at Cushman & Wakefield Chendu Company as an analyst, contributing to the strategic development of minority ethnic groups.

After graduating from UNNC in 2020, she gained a place at University College London for her master’s degree in digital innovation for building asset management. When she came back to China, she came across the company Cushman & Wakefield, a leading global real estate services firm.

Congratulations to all our Year 3 students that participated in the final presentation of the Civil and Structural Steel Design Project this semester! Every group has an interesting design to present!

This final event was held in the atrium of the Portland Building, where students showcased their 3D models of proposed designs and presented highlights of their designs to the academics and fellow students. Want to see nano-scale fabrication and characterisation of concrete? No problem! Through lecture and hands-on participation, students in this scanning electron microscopy course, taught by Dr. Yunming Yang, learned how to set up and operate SEM, observing the microstructure of a fiber-reinforced concrete sample.
